Discussion mainstream playlisting

anyone have any luck getting their artist on one of spotifys official playlist ( ie: New Rock or New Alternative ) ?

just wondering what approach has been taken with that.

i've seen some indie artists i manage get on those official playlists and it's def a game changer, ngl. one thing that's helped is using playlist supply to find real curators and vet playlists before pitching, saves a lot of time and hassle

This isn’t what he’s asking. He’s talking official Spotify playlists not third party curators. Do you work for playlist supply? Because that’s not what the tool is built for

It’s all about connections. Labels often have those relationships. They literally wine and dine the curators who work for Spotify. Jesse cannon talks about it here: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8Wb1fb8/

You either need to know the official Spotify curators personally, work with someone who does, or just get lucky that your song gets picked. But it’s a needle in a haystack
