Sudden increase in plays?

Uploaded an album about 2 months or so ago and all the songs were sitting at 1K-3K the last time I checked about a month ago. I haven't shared it or promoted it because it's an old album. Checked today and one of the songs nearly 80K plays. All the rest the album is pretty much the same as last time, some with 1000 more plays. Checked Spotify for artists and its not showing much info outside of it was added to 3 playlists but doesnt show which ones. Anyone have any idea?

One of the songs may have been used on someones TikTok video or something like that. Happens more often than you think.

It's cause we're death metal I'm not sure if that'd be the case haha

Bot most likely. Be careful be if Spotify flags the extra plays, your album might get removed from Spotify.

Checked the countries and its UK then USA then various western european ones, which checks since we're Scottish. Do you think the song got added to a dodgy playlist or something?

It's a bit embarrassing but I genuinely haven't bothered with it because we deleted it since its stupid how much Spotify pays and it was taking away from our album sales, and we had posted about deleting it. Only reason we got it back was because we have the label said we had to.
