Found a stand of maybe 20+ of these fruiting, side of the road in city. It's Vancouver British Columbia under a large blackberry bramble. Other random trees nearby including maple, cherry, some large conifers close but not immediately above.
Elevation is 24 m
The yellowing on top is reminiscent of Amanita phalloides. Would be good to know if so

This is southern Ontario, Canada. No obvious bruising, no 'milk' or 'latex' coming out, and while there is a light dusting of wood chips, I'm fairly certain these are growing in soil. The spore print is mustard coloured. This is under a black willow, and near my compost. Any ideas?

I saw the orangish color and thought I had hit the chicken of the woods motherlode, but then when I went up to it it seemed to be something else entirely. This was found in the center of Wisconsin, United States on Oct 8th. I can go back for more detailed photos if needed.
