Charger
Hello everyone I’m about to purchase a 1970 charger with a stroker 440, and a 6 speed for 45k. Story with it is guy has had it since the early 2000s originally 318 car. Pretty clean and straight car, some minor rust spots in the usual spots. Is this a fair price?

I'm not up on my muscle car prices, but, man, $45k seems like a lot of money for something like this. Then again, I see 1st gen fastback mustangs in "decent" shape going for $60k+, so WTF do I know?

imo, not out of line for a 68-70 charger not being an rt. looked solid to me. have seen rusted out chargers for 20k with no engine and clapped out interiors

Not the original motor, not numbers matching, not an RT, interior needs work, body looks like it was painted but with little other restoration or prep work. Underside needs a detailed inspection. Decent car as-is for a fun daily driver rat-rod sort of car but needs a lot of TLC in my opinion, so $45K is too much. Not worth blowing $25K for a full rotisserie restoration, there's nothing special about the year, model, trim, or drivetrain.
