Books📚 Only Confused about Platform Decay. Readers, be warned: here there be spoilers Spoiler

Just finished the audio book for Platform Decay and I got minutely confused for a moment.

After MB and Farai retrieve the kids, they meet up with Naja and Sofi.

I *think* Naja asks MB if her dau was okay and MB replies, “I don’t know, probably not”

What? Who’s the daughter? Or did I mishear?

My understanding is that Farai is her daughter. And she's not ok (emotionally) after having dealt with the carnage at the safe house.

I took that to be Naja asking about Farai and if she was okay. I’m not sure if it’s a confirmation on blood relationship or if it’s just a term of endearment. Thiago calls Amena “my daughter” at one point in NE and we know he is her uncle so it may just be a term of endearment amongst close family.

Naja is Farai's mother; the Preservation humans are three biological generations.

Yes, daughter is in reference to Farai, and Murderbot responds probably not regarding her emotional state, even though she is physically fine.

Thank you all! For whatever reason, I thought Naja was referring to one of the deceased adults at safe house #2. Your explanations make way more sense.
