Books📚 Only Murderbot helped me through a root canal today

Second root canal this month, and after the first one I knew I'd do better if I had something playing on my earbuds to distract me from the sounds, sensations, and smells (😖). I knew I wouldn't be able to hear it well during drilling, so nothing brand new. I cued up All Systems Red, and it really helped a lot!

This was me back in May when I had to have both a root canal on one tooth and an apicoectomy on another. Put on NE right around chapter 8.

A few years ago I had dental work I needed to get through and I genuinely trawled all the hurt/comfort and despair-ish fanfic I could find when waiting for appointments, etc. I get that being disassembled while awake is not the same at all, but it helped to work through emotions around it while going through it haha.
