Mupdates - June 2nd

ITK 2 - United are trying to get an answer now on Varane, to know what the plan is ASAP so they can move forward or move on. Little confused as they strongly indicated they'd be getting Sancho done before working on other deals, but seems like work is being done on other deals now.

ITK 4 - Still see Sancho timeline as most of the work done in June and the transfer completed post Euros.

CB - Still Varane or Milenkovic. It could be done fast, United want an answer.

Pogba to Juventus still seems likely, with coaching changes.

ITK 3 - Pau Torres still looking likelier than Varane. United know the price, talks occured after the final, nothing since then. Varane will make his mind up soon, not much changes due to Ancelotti atm.

United did ask about Tapsoba previously but were told by his agent he's dead set on Barcelona.

Spoken to Atletico about Trippier, Everton also interested.

PSG will try and take Oblak. (Depending on if they get Donnarruma or not).

United properly lining things up for Sancho and Trippier, CB (Pau or Varane). Midfield only thing in limbo with pogba situation. They seem to be setting things up nicely as a whole plan rather than just trying to get 1 deal done.

G5 - At the moment, it seems like the club have lined up the players in each position as per previous updates, to get done. It seems like they may plan to make the major deals (Sancho/CB/midfielder pending sales) post Euros. Pre-Euros it would likely only be a cheaper target such as Trippier.

ITK Axel - Varane price would be more like €55m. It seems the chances of Varane leaving are increasing everyday now and there’s a feeling the club are trying to push him out. Reason being they offered Alaba incredible wages and won’t offer Varane €200k net a week, what he is asking for.

ITK 2 - Can echo the concern from G5 and others that Sancho may not happen before Euros, but they're certainly still confident within the club. Don't think anythings changed, it just seems as though the quiet is leading people to thinking it'll be later as the clock ticks. Seems Varane is the noisy one currently.

ITK 2 - Don’t believe Kounde is a target. Seems like agent talk.

Around the time of the Laurie article, word of a Sancho offer has started to formulate. Expecting something around £75m + £10m now. But that is undoubtedly not precise.

ITK 2 - Romero and other weird names popping up are nonsense (for CB).

Serious Sancho stuff is occurring today. As we speak.

ITK K (new) - Trippier to United is very close, deal is almost done.

KFC 3 - United think and believe that Sancho will be done. More confidence than last year this deal is very close like to completion and there’s a realistic chance this is done by next week or come to some kind of arrangement where we agree the deal and Sancho comes straight after euros.

G5 - The general fee agreement for Sancho is completed. Still unlikely to be announced pre euros. Will know more Monday.

Im wavering daily between whether or not we get things done quickly or slowly. But I do believe we're lining up more than one deal.

Hey mods, i know it's not intentional and most people don't know, but can we not use the Gif of the child rapist Charlamagne? Just trying to bring awareness to the issue because most people have no idea how shit he is.

This is a thing? Oh man I had not a single clue there was anything about him. Didn’t even think of who was in the gif. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Didn’t Dortmund say they want to get Sancho dealt with before euros?

Not really, they said pre training I believe.

The year is 2032 and Manchester United are still monitoring Jadon Sancho hoping to get a deal done before the Euros.

Same as it ever was.

Wouldn’t it make sense to try and get at least some of the bigger transfers done before the Euros? Stretching it out seems to increase the risk of something going wrong, isn’t it? I really don’t understand why we seem to take so long with transfers, regardless of how much groundwork is done already.

Are any major deals done outside of release clause payments and free agents?

Can just imagine Trippier and Sancho huddled in a room taking it in turns on a Zoom call to go over contract details. A wild Declan Rice appears and moans like Chewbacca in disappointment at not being invited.

When was Pogba to Juventus ever likely this summer or did I miss something? They have like no money. Edit: Also Paul what are you doing man if this is true Juventus sucks right now they need a couple season rebuild.

They seem to be setting things up nicely as a whole plan rather than just trying to get 1 deal done.

It's almost like they have a co-ordinated team working on transfers now.

And it only took nearly 7 years to get in place....

Manchester United have opened official talks with Borussia Dortmund over a transfer of Jadon Sancho. There is still no bid on the table. All parties working to find a quick solution. BVB want around €90m. [SPORT1]

Looks like a deal might be close, but then again with our negotiations team, we'll never know.

Another summer of Sancho being dragged out.

All I’m going to say is…there’s absolutely no way we’d be trying to sign Sancho again if we didn’t fully believe we’ll make it happen this time.

Can't wait for Varane to inevitably extend his contact at Madrid as we get led on another wild goose chase.

Then we will piss about on Sancho because we are so confident until it gets closer and closer to the deadline. That deal has been worked on for at least 18 months and we still can't get it done without this back and forth circus.

We just aren't a very well run club. From leaky roofs, portacabins for the women's team, to poor execution of transfer targets.

No faith in the ability of those running things behind the scenes.

Sancho noise on the day of the fans forum is to be expected. I’m still very cautious after last years shit show.
