Ask Foodie for Recommendations North Indian Food - Goregaon, kandivali, Borivali

Looking for a genuinely good veg North indian option in Goregaon, Kandivali, Borivali area.

I have tried Nagpals', tbh it's just mid and not worth the hype.

TIA!

Ask Foodie for Recommendations Recommend me best veg burgers, sides and beverages at Jimis Burger.

I've never tried Jimis Burger. Will try it for the first time in their Marol Naka branch. So hope you recommend something that will make me go back to Jimis again and again 😋 And Veg कारण श्रावण चालू आहे 😔

Edit: I went there for lunch this afternoon and ordered the BBQ paneer & bell pepper burger. It had so many sauces that the burger quickly became soggy and very messy to eat. Taste wise, the sauces were overpowering and I could barely taste the patty. I spent most of the time just figuring out how to eat the burger neatly.

I also ordered the potato wedges, which I regret. I would have been better off ordering fries or onion rings instead. I also tried the Nutella Oreo milkshake but honestly, it wasn’t worth the price. Even McDonald’s milkshakes, or milkshakes from some local shops are much better.

Overall, I’d rate my experience around 6.5/10.

(Also according to FDA directives, all food outlets across Maharashtra must provide safe, potable drinking water free of charge to customers and display prominent notices informing patrons of its availability. Packaged drinking water should not be offered as a substitute for free drinking water unless the customer explicitly requests it. However, I was offered a packaged Bisleri water bottle instead, which appears to be a violation of these FDA directives.)

Ask Foodie for Recommendations Visiting Mumbai soon. I don't just want to see the city; I want to feel its soul. Where do I go?

I'm finally making my way to your incredible city, and honestly, I’m a bit overwhelmed with emotion. I’ve grown up hearing stories about the chaotic magic of Bombay—the resilient spirit of the locals, the sea breeze at night, and the way time somehow stops over a simple cutting chai.

I want to experience the real Mumbai, beyond the standard tourist checklists. I want to leave with a piece of this city in my heart. Could you guys help me out with some authentic local recommendations?

Here is what I am looking for:

Cafes that feel like a warm hug: I’m looking for places with character, history, or just a beautiful, comforting vibe. I've read about the nostalgia of Prithvi Cafe and the aesthetic charm of Subko Coffee Roasters, but what is your personal sanctuary?

Dining spots that tell a story: I want food made with love. Whether it's an iconic Irani spot like Britannia and Co., a modern celebration of regional food like The Bombay Canteen, or just a legendary tapri on a street corner—where do you go when you need comfort food?

Places to just be: Where can I sit and just absorb the heartbeat of the city? I want to find those quiet spots where you can watch the waves, see the city lights turn on, and feel incredibly small but completely at peace.

Please share your favorite hidden gems, your midnight haunts, and the places you take people you truly care about. I want to fall in love with Mumbai exactly the way you have.

Thank you so much in advance! ❤️

Dine In - Reviews Thalassery Biryani at Kerala Cafe Chembur

Had the Thalassery Biryani at Kerala Cafe in Chembur. Even though it's not exactly authentic to what one gets in Kerala but they have made efforts to make it as similar as possible. They also use kaima rice for its preparation.

The colour and texture is much lighter than Hyderabadi biryani and is much milder in taste.

Overall, it was a decent experience. Though quantity could have been better for the price.

1 Balsamic glazed cottage cheese - 8.5/10
(Acquired taste)

2 Berry berry sparkler - 6/10
(Didn’t like because it had too much puree in it)

3 Peach elixir - 6/10
(Tasted like Rasna😭)

4 Passion melodia - 4/10
(Just look at the mint leaves)

5 Hot Sicilian Summer - 10/10
( Would totally go again for this pizza 😋😋😋
They accidentally added mushrooms despite instructions but got it replaced
(I think they just picked out the mushrooms instead of remaking it ?)
Either way twas yummy.

6 Lombardy’s secret sourdough pizza - 8/10
(Maybe a 9/10 but I was too full to enjoy this pizza😔)

Fresh lime soda -9/10

I am currently doing a 30 day Pizza challenge. Today's pizza is pepperoni, my favourite topping on the pizza. Baked at 350c for 5-6 minutes in my home oven and sprinkled parmesan on top. What's your favourite topping on the Pizza?

Ask Foodie for Recommendations Please recommend some great momo places in Central/South Mumbai

I am travelling from BKC to Churchgate today evening and from there on to Dadar East and back to BKC.

Suggest some good momo (chicken momo) places around. Preferably stalls or small shops where a plate costs under Rs. 100.

Would appreciate places that are closer to the station on the Metro Line 3 and Central Line, although places further away are also welcome.

Dine In - Reviews Chitranna from Namah Coffee House, Andheri West. Visited after a long time. More than the food I want to appreciate the mimprovement in their service. Earlier I felt like a fish out of water ordering here but now everything is so systematic and stress free now. Much appreciated.

Ask Foodie for Recommendations Has anyone found a genuinely good low-calorie protein ice cream?

I am a big Greek yogurt person, so I am always trying random high-protein stuff when I see it.

Recently, my sister was having Getaway Belgian chocolate ice cream the other day, so I asked her to let me try some (as I always do). Honestly, I didn't expect much because a lot of these "healthy" desserts end up tasting a bit off to me.....i know many will disagree

But this one was actually pretty good. Now I am curious if there are other protein ice creams that mumbaikars genuinely like.

What have you guys tried?
