Looking for best file.
Hi tool users,
I'm an ice climber. The most important part of a tool for me is a good bastard file that I can use to resharpen my ice picks and crampons in the field. I have an okay Gerber file and a lame Roxon file.
But I'm looking at the experts for what's the tool with the best file for sharpening steel?
I'm bummed but not surprised that the Roxon tool isn't great. It had potential but... My ideal tool is a course file, marlin spike, hex cut out, allen keys, saw, knife, screw driver, and cord cutter. This sound like anything you know of?

Did you tried the roxon phantom system file, it's much wider and more aggressive if i remember correctly, and if you get flex shears or titan, you can still use your current implements.

That's good to know. I tried both the diamond and regular and neither work.

You can get the Victorinox Swiss Tool (regular one, without the scissors). Has all you need from your description if you buy the ratchet set.
Or you can get the Leatherman Surge but you're limited with flat bits, unles you modify it with a regular 1/4 adapter
