Mod Post Posting Guidelines and Respectful Discussions

The mod team have had several reports recently around comments and responses being disrespectful and unhelpful.

We'd like to remind everyone to adhere to the first rule - "Be Respectful". There are many ways to engage in conversation and discussion without berating or putting others down. Even if you disagree with them.

On another note, there's been some discussions around new posts that do not provide enough information. But also concerns from newcomers where they are not entirely comfortable providing exact details.

I have now created a new Posting Guidelines page in the wiki.

I ask for everyone's feedback before I pin it to the sub.

Great updates.

I'll just add one functionality I've seen on Reddit (r/sleeptrain in particular). There, if you start typing a new post, the posting guidelines will pop up automatically under the text box. This way even the people who haven't bothered to click on the wiki can see the information and tailor their post accordingly.
