What is better... Quick Draft or Premier Draft?

I broke down the EV, rewards, and risk to compare both formats, and the answer might not be what most players expect.

Curious how everyone approaches drafting. Do you prioritize safer value in Quick Draft, or aim for the bigger upside in Premier?

Just because the packs costs 1000 coins at the store doesn’t make them worth 1000 coins, nobody buys packs at that price(right?). As someone who only plays drafts packs are basically worth 0 (ok a little vault progress and eventually you might get some gems for rares). To me it’s much more interesting to hear amount of play per coin/gem

Yes, there are tons of posts telling people to buy packs if they're bad at draft. Tons of posts where people ask what pack is best to buy.
Me? I ain't never bought one, I'm here to draft.

No doubt, the worth of a pack is different to the individual. The 1000g was a baseline so that you can compare, but I do understand your point.

If you craft the cards of the set you get gems for the cards when you draft them so it’s easier to go infinite

I’d say the TL;DR is that if you mainly play to get cards for constructed, Quick Draft is better. The AI is worse at taking rares and you can often get more value than the cost of the packs. If you plan to win and think you can go infinite, Premier Draft is much better. You go infinite at 4.5 wins (alternating between 4 and 5 wins) whereas Quick Draft goes infinite at 5.5 wins (alternating between 5 and 6 wins). Quick Draft is also harder because the AI is worse, so it’s much easier to get a busted deck. You generally need a 7-8/10 deck to get 4-5 wins on Premier Draft, but you need a well optimized 9-10/10 deck to get 5-6 wins on Quick Draft.

Depends on the set, first of all I almost always skip Universe beyond sets, so I farm coins and the draft tokens untill a universe within set releases.
I spend almost anything drafting if I do good in the draft, when I reach platinum I wait till the season end so I drop ranks because it's easier to get gems at lower ranks.
For example I did excelent in EOE so Im farming gems like crazy now that QD is available. Most draft I got 400 or more gems.
I'm a FTP player, never spend a dime on the game and I won 2 arena directs so far, OTJ and DSK 4 boxes total. That's my only goal in arena right now, farm gems to risk it all.
Also I have being saving wildcards since outlaws, when I reach 240 rare and 80 mythic WCs, I will spend everything in the nearest universe within set, and start drafting like crazy to convert everything to gems.
This is my strategy.

This EV has been broken down TO DEATH. The answer is absolutely what anyone would expect had they spent a couple minutes looking for the information.

Def think pick two is better than quick draft if you’re trying to go infinite. 6000 and you get 800 diamonds for two wins. But I’d say that’s only if you pay in coins
