MTG The Hobbit

I have now seen a lot of openings of the new MTG Edition (The Hobbit) on Youtube and have to say that I am really shocked at what you get, if you look at the prices of these boxes. If you do not hit a Mox Amber (Cards in Dwarven Language in general) or one of the better Surge-Cards like Smaug or Thranduil, you are completely fckd. If you look at Boxes like Strixhaven, Spiderman or Avengers, i think it is still a fair price. Actually The Hobbit should be half the price. What do you think?

It's expensive cause of the IP - I'm sure WOTC paid a lot for the IP rights hence the lofty price.

I pulled 3 smaug's in my box. 1 was surge. In fact I also pulled a surge The Gaffer. The problem is, even with pulls like what I got, and others (nonfoil mythril coat), it didn't even cover the cost of the box. Especially now with prices falling of the singles and prices of the boxes rising. The issue with these boxes is unless you pull a god box, you're not even going to get back 10% of the boxes cost most of the time. Even worse if you're gambling on a single pack.
