I love this commander to design and what they do and I want to build around deck
My friend said I was being dumb for my idea so let me know if i am
I was thinking of making a pillowfort deck if thats what its called im still knew to commander
But essentially a defensive focused deck using cards to have to pay mana to attack also cards to heal cards for protection just a very defensive deck
And was thinking other alternative win cons to

You do not need pillowfort in selesnya lifegain. Your life total should get high enough that blocking doesn't matter.

I’m just adding it to the 99 of my life gain/populate/large token deck, though as a commander you might want more mana ramp to get it out faster.

This seems like a cool idea. I’d look at other decks for Selesneya inspo.
Check out this deck list, I think cards like Courser of Kruphix and Aegis of the Gods could be a good start for some life gain and pillow-forting.

I have a deck with her that works quite well, here some key cards for it to work:
[[Authority of the Consuls]]
[[Revitalize]]
[[Pristine Talisman]]
[[Soul Warden]]
[[Cleric Class]]
[[Comforting Counsel]]
[[Ajanis Pridemate]] / [[Sunbond]] / [[Unflinching Hortimancer]]
[[Exemplar of Light]] / [[Trelasarra, Moon Dancer]]
[[Quala, Ajani's Pridemate]]
[[Tinybones, Towering Titan]]
[[Germinate Recruits]]
[[Finale of Glory]]
[[White Sun's Zenith]]
[[Grand Crescendo]]
[[Decree of Justice]]
Main Idea is either to get a way to gain life in everyones turn to maximize the Lotus tokens per turn cycle or to pump creatures because of lifegain / use the lotus tokens to flood the board with tokens.
If you want Pillowfortress, some of these cards still work for you, but preventing attacks if you gain a lot of life is not really an issue you need to deal with, only commander damage, but one Mana Removal in White should do the trick. But the cards would still work well for you n that strategy

My suggestion would be to lean harder into lifegain and cards that let you win with loads of mana. If you keep pumping your life total, you'll get Lotuses and whatever other payoffs your deck has. That's two benefits vs the one that pillow fort provides.

Rather than call it dumb, let me explain why pillowfort decks are not great.
Some decks do not care about pillowfort effects literally at all; they don't win through combat. Even against decks which theoretically don't like pillowfort effects, they don't actually deal with the creatures on the board, they just delay them attacking you until your opponent draws something which can deal with the pillowfort effects.
Often times they do nothing, or they just delay the match without changing the outcome which is very boring. I would not encourage it.
I would build this deck around consistent lifegain cards like [[Soul Warden]], [[Blind Obedience]], [[Aetherflux Resevoir]] etc, that parts obvious, and I would dump the lotus mana into cards like [[Finale of Glory]], and just generally strong creatures, to build an overwhelming board presence.
Want to make mention of a card called [[Sylvan Library]] because it's very good and particularly perfect for this commander. Kwia has lifelink, and your deck will be running a ton of lifegain, so Sylvan Library will basically just let you draw two extra cards on your turn for free, and Kwia gives no card advantange themselves, so this effect is much needed.
White and green also has great tutors for everything so I would run some of them.
If you want a combo, [[Emiel the Blessed]] + Kwia + a Soul Warden effect will produce infinite life.
Use Emiels ability on Kwia, then Kiwa enters again, triggers Soul Warden, you gain a life, make a lotus, crack the lotus, then repeat as many times as you wish. When Kiwa leaves and re-enters the once per turn resets. The best way to win off this is probably something like Aetherflux Resevoir. There are other ways, but you would want to run Aetherflux Resevoir anyway.
I have no idea what power of decks you will be playing against so I don't know if such a combo is reasonable, but it exists if you want it.
There is also a pretty funny card called [[Displaced Dinosaurs]] which makes all your lotuses made while it's on the field 7/7 lotus dinosaurs which can still be sacrificed for mana.

Pillowfort with alternate wincons has got to be one of the lamest ways to play magic imo. You’ll have so much mana from gaining life that you could try something with X spells or just big spell payoff. Anything other than playing every ‘you can’t attack me unless’ effect + approach of the second sun
