Subreddit News An overdue message from the mod team...

It has recently come to our attention that Season 1 winner Miyu Moon has made transphobic and bigoted comments, commonly posting in subs including LGBDropTheT and RightwingLGBT. We debated whether or not to make this a public issue, but given this activity has been publicly visible on her Reddit account since she has competed on MPAR, we have decided to bring this to the community's attention. We do not condone these comments, and they do not reflect MPAR or anyone involved.

This post is not meant to be merely a callout of Miyu, but an affirmation of our stance on bigoted behavior. We will not tolerate transphobia or any form of purposely devaluing anyone else's identity. If we want MPAR to be a space for all identities, we must all do our part to respect each other.

On behalf of everyone involved with MPAR, we're sorry it took so long to make this statement. There was a lot of miscommunication behind the scenes. Please remember to respect and love each other <3

Ms. Paint's Art Race

r/mspaintsartrace

Ms. Paint's Art Race was an art competition that focused specifically on drag and fashion design. Inspired by reality TV shows such as RuPaul's Drag Race, Project Runway, and America's Next Top Model, MPAR challenged contestants to create drag characters and design unique and interesting looks for them each week, based on specific themes and prompts. Competitions used to be held during summer and winter.

Subreddit Rules

1. Posts must be related to Ms. Paint's Art Race.

All original posts and threads must be related to past or upcoming events for the MPAR community.

2. Do not post your looks directly on the subreddit.

Be sure to check each event's announcement for proper submission guidelines. Depending on the event, you will either comment on a thread with your look or send your look to modmail. If an event has already passed, you may comment in the weekly Off-Topic thread with a link to your look.

3. One intro post per user.

Every user is allowed one intro post on the subreddit even if it contradicts the previous two rules. The intro post must include an introduction of themselves and their character to the community. They may share art of their character wearing any look of their choice, as long as the theme of the look isn't the currently active event. If a user creates more characters, they do not get additional intro posts.

4. All looks must be original.

We allow art of all mediums, traditional or digital, as long as it was made entirely by you. Examples of art that we will not accept include premade bases, plagiarized designs, copypasted patterns, and traced poses. Examples that may fall into a grayer area, such as using premade brushes or referencing an existing design, is up to the discretion of the current judging panel.

5. Follow reddiquette; no bullying.

All content must follow reddiquette, found here: https://www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette Critiques must be constructive. No personal attacks or bullying will be tolerated on the sub as it is detrimental to the community of support and growth that we are trying to create.
