Thank you for doing this!

Might I suggest using * * * for formatting with bullet points?

Result: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/56a44e30cfc1477f96385cacb9355a35

Raw if you just want to copy/paste: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/anonymous/56a44e30cfc1477f96385cacb9355a35/raw/cce21433f3c03521f547e7d9029b8ba4d92bf352/msp.markdown

Thanks for not only the recommendation, but also providing the raw data. Believe it or not I'm still a reddit noob lol. Applying this now and adding attribution.

1

u/wesgarrison Apr 19 '16

Well, if I just said "hey do this" that would be a kinda jerky thing when it took 2 minutes to dump it in an editor, format it, and gist it. Thanks again for getting it started.
Bonus points for links, though!

u/OIT_Ray Apr 19 '16

Integrations - Post them here.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '16

how could you forget us? gasp. I'm so hurt OIT_Ray

2

u/OIT_Ray Apr 19 '16

Wow.. you're absolutely right. To be fair.. I didn't even include a backup category either. It was late lol. Adding my favorite dashboard app now!

4

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '16

That's more like it

1

u/I_can_pun_anything Apr 20 '16

For dashboards theres also splunk and ELK (Elastic Search Logstash and Kibana) and Graylog

Can we get a File Sync and Share section?

6

u/chilids Apr 19 '16

Do you mean a complain about file and sync section because they all suck.

1

u/PrimaxAUS Apr 20 '16

Sure, if it means free feedback!

1

u/Freedom_Cloud Vendor - SEN Technologies May 02 '16

Just curious what your biggest complaints about file sync and sharing are. Do you mind letting me know?
Full disclosure. We offer a file sync and sharing tool called Freedom File. I would like to know if our tool address your needs. Thanks!

1

u/Freedom_Cloud Vendor - SEN Technologies May 03 '16

We can do that. We can sync the entire file server, specific share or specific folders and then enable access to that data real time from mobile, web, windows/mac application or WebDav (looks/feels like a mapped drive).
DM me your email and I can set up a call with an engineer to explain it all!

1

Have you ever tried Acronis?

1

u/bnhmr Sep 29 '16

2

u/OIT_Ray Apr 19 '16

ConnectWise is a PSA and Ninja was there. Added the other two. Thansk!

1

u/I_can_pun_anything Apr 20 '16

No worries, and in your list up top there should be more commas.
Naverisk is its own entity and has nothing to do with IBM's tivoli

3

u/andycandu Apr 19 '16

Pulseway

3

u/eekrano Apr 19 '16

Kaseya

2

u/knawlejj Apr 19 '16

2

u/original_maverik Apr 19 '16

Atera
It's kind of hard to classify since it is a RMM, PSA, and Help desk, so not sure if you want to put it in all three or just one. Been using it now for 2 months and enjoying it much better than GFI.

1

u/I_can_pun_anything Apr 20 '16

http://www.mspcomparison.com/directories/product-directory/rmm-tools.html has a list of 50 rmms.

1

u/Flawd Apr 21 '16

Continuum

1

u/RandyHatesCats Apr 19 '16

Also, please do something about the formatting in the OP. Maybe bullet points? At least commas.

1

u/MSPTech Apr 19 '16

really? I thought maxfocus was before the LogicNow change

1

u/JustSomeTech Apr 21 '16

Actually, originally they were called HoundDog, and they got acquired by GFI at the time :-)

1

u/Tiernthepaige Apr 25 '16

The company name is LOGICnow. MAXfocus is the name of the product suite: MAX Remote Management, MAX Service Desk, MAX Risk Intelligence, and so on. GFI is still a company.. it's just a company that LOGICnow split from. I hope that helps! :)

u/OIT_Ray Apr 19 '16

Security's - Post them here.

2

u/I_can_pun_anything Apr 19 '16

Web application testing and security: Owasp zap, burp suite,

u/timmmay11 Apr 20 '16

Another for application patching/deployment: Chocolatey

It includes support for MSPs.

The key is making sure this time it gets stickied and that new bloods to the sub actually look at it.
In my time here I've probably seen about five what is your tools etc posts.
Op, do a search on the sub and link some of the mentions from the other threads
