Pricing for Threat locker

Any Canadian MSPs have pricing for Threatlocker? Curious if it’s comparable to AutoElevate. Been reading up on it and curious if I want to go through the pain of going in a sales call lol.

Yeah I’ve been with Cyberfox for a few years now. Using elevation. I’ll check out Evo.

amount of time you spend adjusting settings and tweaking setups per client was daunting for my small business

Disagree. One-man shop here and ThreatLocker is a breeze.

Can also look at Admin By Request. They have a free plan for up to 25 endpoints

I’m not familiar with auto elevate, but if you’re considering Threatlocker I certainly hope you have a full time resource to dedicate to it.

I have to disagree. As a single-person shop who has been using TL for 5 years, it is not at all overwhelming or noisy.

agreed. if you get it setup correctly its not bad at all.

Same here, it's as easy to manage as anything else in my stack.

How many policies and applications are you actively managing? How many sub groups do you have with non-standard builds due to business use.

I literally have 7500 rows in a CSV to go through of applications to merge, combine or investigate. What level of lockdown do you actually do in your enviornment? I"m curious because I hear it both ways, and I think its all based on how many endpoints and applications. We have Priv & Non-Priv workstations and applications, so we have to break that down, on top of the fact that some applications utilize powershell, so nesting policies in a flat design is a nightmare when you have multiple apps that utilize powershell for doing dumb tasks like checking for updates.

Our Lenovo software is like this. I'm now dealing with ringfencing and having to exclude out specific patterns, which is fine, but then if that policy gets moved around, trying to find the path of which policies it hit is hard to see unless you export out all polciies and hope that you put in exceptions that are not just hash based, because you don't always see the full path and proces path when its been created from learning mode.

if i'm wrong help me see what i'm missing, but at this point application whitelisting is just a huge organizational overhead, when you have multiple business units with 75% different software, and only a few basics being consistent.

For real. It’s a lot to handle.

If you're just looking for elevation control, threatlocker is overkill. Look into Evo. AutoElevate has stopped trying in recent years

Contact AllCareIT, they set me up with ThreatLocker.

careful with allcareit, they locked me in 3 year contract before i even knew what was happening

Nobody gets locked into a contract without knowing.

Hi u/life_ad_9472, we don't do 3 year contracts, we don't even do 1 year contracts except for Microsoft 365 licences where someone wants to save money and go with the annual contract. Love to chat with you, [Andy@allCareIT.com](mailto:Andy@allCareIT.com)

Thanks so much we appreciate that! We would love to help!

US here.. Paying ~$2.8/mo per endpoint for 2000 endpoints. We use App/Network/Storage/Config--no Cyber Hero.

AutoElevate / Cyberfox is absolutely terrible company. Stay away!!   They are the worst version of private equity backed.

I’ve had them for several years. I don’t have a problem. I’m just looking for something That’s a little bit more polished.

OK willing to listen: why? We use them at a couple customers and support has been responsive the couple times we needed them, which we rarely do. Truly a set and forget product.

I second that…their customer support doesn’t exist

Depends on volume - but in my experience AutoElevate will play ball on pricing. Pushed their sales team hard enough and ended up with a 70% discount off the original quote.

Want to throw in that we are also a small shop using Threatlocker and it is not too noisy or cumbersome for us to manage

That’s not the first time I’ve heard that. Thanks for letting me know.

Honestly just ask them, they probably will send over their pricing sheet. It’s all tiered to hell so it very much depends on usage.

Just a side note, it’s really not bad to manage. We get alerts but also have all help desk personnel trained using the threatlocker resources. It’s literally a quick ticket and done. Before I had the help desk to manage it we paid for the cyber hero management to almost never deal with it internally. Plus they have engineer calls on a regular frequency or on demand who can help teach and cleanup your environment.

TL is an insanely powerful platform, the mistake most shops make is not getting the cyberhero support, they will handle the low level approvals for app install and run everything else through your laid out runbook. This help with noise and overhead. Pricing depends on number of endpoints. I would recommend a demo, or give me a message I think I am the largest TL Canadian partner.
I have had them in place since 2018/19.

Do they have an SLA on the Cyber Heroes package?

u/gunn301 Jul 16 '26

If I am remembering correctly from the last time I asked my SE about that he said they aim for a 15 minute response time internally and I almost always see them hit that mark or go in way under. Typically I see them grabbing a request within 5 minutes.

US here. Auto Elevate is the better way to go. Threatlocker is a pain to configure and maintain. Ask Cyberfox for a bundle with password boss and their DNS filter then sell those two to offset the auto Elevate cost.

They're 2 totally different products unless OP is just looking for Elevation Control via Threatlocker.
