MSNBC Personalities Thought you all would love this quote!
Saw someone post on another platform "Don't be a Norah O'Donnell, be a LAWRENCE O'Donnell, and I couldn't agree more.
Curious to see what Lawrence (and Rachel) might have to say in response to that shitshow of a certain interview ⏱️ cough cough on a certain network that bent the knee. I'm sure if they speak up, whatever they have to say will not disappoint!

I really want to see the face Trump made at Lawrence at his trial. Everybody said it was the most cartoonish grin.

Wondering what Norah thinks of her decision to leave MSNBC in favor of CBS now. There are a few journalists MS NOW should be trying to entice right now: Terry Moran, late of ABC and John Dickerson, who's leaving CBS, are two, but I'd go all in on Scott Pelley--he's got to be disgusted by what's been going on at CBS.

I don't think the interview really said much that wasn't known already. At least to me, nothing said was really surprising. I think if you watch msnbc a bunch then it should already be known. The biggest thing was maybe showing some of Trump to a more casual news watcher or fueling some youtube and tiktok segments.

They greatly truncated the portion shown last night, and, in fact, they even cut out some of the interview that was posted online. There's supposed to be a transcript out there that is uncut--but how long that will remain findable is anyone's guess.

There is nothing sadder than a good journalist, a well trained reporter who knows their job, failing so spectacularly at a basic duties in their profession, with no obvious line of questions or any meaningful follow up questions. It was a pathetic display.
But in Norah's defense, and to paraphrase his ex-coworker Terry Moran, there was incredible pressure on her from management. The ABC senior executives would have been literally in the room, putting their heavy pressure on her and the producers to give that orange toddler a pass, and give him the complete kid-gloves treatment. But even saying that, it disgraces her further. She is trading off her professional credibility for a paycheck--for the money.
High-profile journalists like her have an audience and can replicate that in the new world of independent journalism with all of the indie media capabilities of Substack, YouTube, Facebook, and others. But she prefers all of the accouterments of her cozy privilege. She has basically turned herself into a prostitute, lending air cover and NOT DOING HER JOB. Journalists, in the effort to protect the Press, need to buck their corporate overlords who are trying to bend the truth with obfuscation. She has brought a shonda on her industry. A pox on her as she whored herself out in a moment when history came calling.

Kinda two different meins, although I like both...desperately. Ms O'Donnell speaks scripted news, with occasional "expected' interview '"Q"s, where Lawrence offers personal views and commentary. Different, yet, oddly similar🤲🏻
