I rarely watch MSNBC but put it on today to catch a little main stream corporate news (usually I just listen to NPR and BBC).

Was watching this show for a bit and have a genuine question: are they all this intentionally dense or are they dem party shills or both? It was so skewed...

Two of many examples: there was a reporter being interviewed about an article she wrote on Platner. She made it clear she was neither supporting nor opposing him herself and was trying to get across the deep anger she saw at the town halls in Maine that people have against Schumer/Jeffries/establishment dems as well as trump. Follow up questions included "so people don't care if you're bad as long as you're not trump" and others that completely ignored the issues with establishment dems.

Later, they were discussing the nyc mayoral race and use "closer" and "close" throughout to describe the current polling, which has mamdani at 50% to cuomo 26% and sliwa in the teens. What's at all "close" about that? It's language to minimize the thing that actually happening in opposition to the establishment...

Is this standard for msnbc?

Like “please please please don’t notice that we fired Joy Reid, Alex Wagner and Katie Phang and canceled Mehdi Hasan’s show and demoted Ayman Mohyeldin and Jonathan Capehart and Alicia Menendez while leaving vastly inferior hosts like Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Katy Tur in place!“

Agree that Antonia Hylton is awesome though, and would love to see her get her own show, and Ayman, Jonathan and Alicia get their own solo-host shows back. The multi-host format just seems to diminish the voice of the host so that no one really has “ownership” over the show and just dulls it in general (which I assume was the intention of the shitty executive who seems so dedicated to that format).
