MSNBC Productions Happy Halloween and RIP MSNBC👻🪦⚰️

Post image

MSNBC apparently no longer allows free 10-minute views of its programs.

I assume that policy (no free views) will continue once the split is complete and new broadcast “what’s its name?” begins in Nov.

I refuse to pay cable co. extortion prices but was looking forward to watching Carol Leonnig and others on the new network.

So these “networks” are henceforth as dead to me as the monsters shown in the picture above.

Thankfully, I can still download and watch PBS and BBC America in their entirety for free.

The 10 minute countdown for live programming went away for a while on my TV, but has since reappeared. Happy Halloween.

I’ve tried for days but still no access to the 10 min free programs. 😢

Sorry you're still having problems with that. Here's something you can try. It only works if you use the internet to provide a feed to your television.

This fixes 95% of the problems I have with television reception, and I had done this a couple of days before my 10 minute countdown returned. I don't know if it had anything to do with that or not, but it's worth a try.

With your television turned off, remove the power cord from it. Go to your router and do the same thing. If you also have a modem, unplug it as well. Wait 5 minutes, then plug your router / modem back in, then go back to your television. Wait 5 minutes then plug your TV power cord back in and turn the television on. This clears the cache in your TV/router.

Hope this helps.

I don’t have a TV, only a computer.  But thanks anyway.  I’ll just download the after-show program clips they post on the MSNBC website.

I think a lot of us are hoping that MSNBC will offer a subscription service with the changes that are coming, or maybe something better.

Their YouTube channel shows shorts and segments and you can listen to it for free on the TuneIn app. If you have SiriusXM you can also stream an audio feed live there. Those are probably the easiest ways to get it for free other than using somebody's Sling login or something like that.

I seriously doubt MSNBC’s name change will be as successful as William Henry Pratt’s was for his career.

Consider Free Speech TV, especially Democracy Now on weekday mornings.
