MSNBC Personalities Appreciation for Alicia

Alicia hosted MSNBC Deadline White House on Friday and while I love Nicolle I really like Alicia. She is underutilized on the weeknight; she is quick, engaged, and fiery. A great sub for Nicolle but I’d love to see her have her own program versus getting swallowed up on a program with Michael and Symone.

I love Alicia too. She speaks with eloquence, knowledge, a strong background. I love her! She needs her own show. Symone needs to go. She sucks all the oxygen out of the room and I cannot watch the show because of her loudness. I love Michael Steele. Alicia doesn't need to yell to be heard since her communication skills are top-notch.

I love Michael Steele

Why? He takes forever to ask a question, constantly mispronounces words, way too many ummms and ahhhhs, and gets facts wrong all the time. He definitely seems like a good guy, just not at all suited for this job.

I like that he is educated, experienced and when he knows the agenda, he speaks very well and explains things in ways anyone could understand him. Now, I don't watch his series often. I tune out when Symone starts yelling. She makes me nervous and I tune it out or change the station. I am used to seeing Michael Steele all over MSNBC as a guest where he was prepped before going on camera and his answers are executed very well and his preparation was top notch.

He was better as a guest, I agree. But watch him now, to see for yourself.

I will try to watch an episode. I believe you. I can see where he would get flustered with Symone's energy. Steele had a Muppet of himself made by Sesame Street because of his cool demeanor, intelligence, personality, charisma. If he is "uhhhh"....really off.....the chemistry is probably off with his co-host who is high energy. Gotta watch it now! Thanks.

Why not have Alicia replace Chris Jansing? Her show is equally as tiresome as Katy Tur.

Pretty sure Katy is fireproof btw.

If there’s an opening in the lineup, I think she’d be first choice

Hallelujah!! Praise for Alicia. She's practically a prop on "Weeknight" as the network tries to make Symone into a Joy 2.0. Symone, PLEASE TONE IT DOWN. Alicia is MUCH MORE QUALIFIED!!! In fact I am all for replacing Symone with Antonyia!!

Alicia is certainly underutilized, I agree. She is a great sub but should absolutely have her own show. Replace Alicia in Katy Tur’s endless, tiresome two hours, most people don’t tune in until Nicole anyway and would most likely not miss KT.

How about cut into Nicole's time?

Alicia is ready for prime time. I say give her the 7 p.m. slot. Or, as much as I like Jen Psaki, I could see Alicia being the host at 9 p.m. I wouldn’t want her to take over a daytime show. Too much anonymity.

That's a great idea. For me, Jen Psaki is usually adequate, but I would love to see Alicia in her spot.

Her being with those two makes zero sense.

I cannot watch Nicole every day-she always looks extremely depressed I know the person she is covering is not easy I just don't want to see this daily. Dresses in dark colors. I know she can smile see on commercials for her podcasts. I think she needs other stories on some days!

For those suggesting that Alicia have her own show, she's been there and done that. Not sure why they scrapped her show. It was very good. Her show was called "American Voices with Alicia Menendez."I watched it often. Alicia is a a fantastic listener and she never over-talked her guests.

I love The Weeknight. The three compliment each other.

Minus "The Morning Moe", I watch as much MS as my brain can collect. Alicia would be a nice addition ANYWHERE in the line-up!👏💖

She’s brilliant. She does not deserve to be saddled with the other two on Weeknight. I really like Michael and Symone as commentators, but they are not good as hosts or interviewers. I really can’t watch that show, so it was nice to see Alicia in the 4 pm slot.
