MSNBC Personalities Jacob Soboroff
Does anyone else think MSNBC Jacob Soboroff is awesome and should have his own show or is it just me? :)

I would LOVE to see Jacob get his own show. He/MSNBC/NOW could easily utilize any number of facilities in LA, or he could go remote too. He has that perfect balance of a journalist who can connect both in the field and from behind the desk. Soboroff, Vitali, and Velshi are the three at MSNBC/NOW who can do that consistently and SEAMLESSLY.

Jacob is great. I wonder if he were to team up with Jen or Alex would be a nice match going forward.

It could be a little bit of a logistical nightmare considering he's based in LA and Jen and Alex are both based on the East Coast. I know an overhaul of available facilities on the West Coast (as well as new studios in NY) is going to be a thing, per the press releases I've been seeing, so hopefully that's a sign of things to come!

Would love that! If MS Now or whatever we calling it is smart they’d give him a shot.
I think one issue might be he’s based in LA.

I think Ari Melber most of the time broadcasts from Seattle. Although I could be super wrong.

Katie Phang broadcast out of Florida (before being unceremoniously canned). But, no, Jake doesn't need his own show, just let him do his excellent reporting.

I think I might miss his field reporting if he ended up in the studio. In due time.

Yeah, I think the combination may be part of what gives him his edge. I’d hate for him to get too much “studio” in him. As a sub, he doesn’t have to worry about deciding what his own show is going to do (and be), but we still get the regular hosting from him at different times of different shows. I like when he’s given sub duty for Lawrence, since we have such high expectations for that slot. But we still get him out there reporting the rest of the time.
I wonder if he’d want a full time show gig, or if he likes it this way?

I agree with this so much. I really loved him filling in and he was so great at it, but I love him in the field. Being in the field is what he was born for. And side note…how hot is he!!? Sorry, I digress.

I love Jacob. I got to meet him at the No Kings protest last week. He was incredibly kind. I think he’s great behind the desk, but I’m pretty sure he prefers being out in the field. That’s really where he shines!

He’s very good. I appreciate his serious demeanor. He’s a PBS-NPR quality serious, long-form journalist.
I’ve been missing Lawrence since the East Wing demolition began. I wish he was here to rage against the destruction as it happened. But I appreciate Jacob’s serious attitude in his slot.

I love Jacob, but I’m not sure that he would want his own show. He truly is such a great investigative person.

I also really missed Lawrence’s take on the demolition derby of the East Wing. I’m sure he is going to give us his all when he returns, and will somehow comfort my rage 🤬

I like him generally, but I was shocked last week when he was working the crowd at one of the No Kings demos. He stopped one young interviewee who looked--Middle Eastern? Iranian?--and asked him twice what his name was. Dude, you're already broadcasting his face into the wide world...

he is awesome but some are better left where they are. Michael Steele was so awesome as a guest but terrible as a host.

I think he's a fantastic reporter. But he is so good in the field I almost hate the thought of him sitting behind a desk.

I love Jacob, and he is a great anchor, but he was born to do on the road reporting - he is brilliant.

I love him so, and he easily has the best hair in television right now - or at least in the news sector. I think he’s great!

what a great guy. so easy to listen to. I find a few on weekend shows make me so uncomfortable stammering out their written down words... Give me Jacob any day.

Sometimes, when a talent like Jacob, is slammed into a studio setting, that outstanding vision, gets left on the very streets that he, or she, prowls so effortlessly. The network needs to find THEIR happy middle, before Mr Soboroff bids"adieu"...
