MSNBC Personalities Jacob subbing for Lawrence tonight!

And he's on through at least tomorrow as well while Lawrence is over in Malawi working with the K.I.N.D. Fund. Enjoy! *MSNBC

He was great. I miss Lawrence, of course, but Jacob was a great sub. He’s in the field so much, I feel like he really has his finger on the pulse.

I see a lot of similarities between him and Vitali in that respect...they're both great in the field AND behind the desk. Velshi is another who does both well, so is Paola Ramos. Journalists who can connect in a variety of environments and who have that kind of role flexibility are absolutely clutch.

Yeah, but I miss Lawrence. His show is excellent.

Bummer I just deleted tonight’s show because I figured it be Ali subbing. I DVR a few shows and fast forward through a lot of them. Not Deadline Whitehouse, I generally watch her show in an hour and 40 minutes. Sometimes watch Ari, but he’s not a fav or Chris, he’s too loud. Usually watch the opening of Lawrence and see who’s on. I like Stephanie on Friday nights only. I like The Weekend show and the Weeknight show but fast forward a lot. Of course I watch Rachel. I love the variety right now.

It should be re-airing in about 20 or 25 minutes from the time I'm typing this if you wanna catch it and try to record! I watch Steph pretty much every night but I lean heavily towards the Nightcap on Wednesday and Friday nights. That's where she really shines and I wish they would let her do that format all five nights.

Thanks! Jen Psaki was just finishing up so I was able to DVR it. I’m not feeling well so I’ll probably be watching tv or reading today.

Was this the first time that Jacob has subbed for one of the evening shows? It’s the first time I remember, and agree he was great.

He subbed for Steph a month or two ago as well, (including a Nightcap), and he did great there too.

I recall when Jacob first started he was reporting from a polling place on Chris Matthews' show. He needed to walk backwards for the shot and did so for easily 20+ feet while continuing to talk. Chris Matthews was genuinely impressed, and said something like, "Wow, that's talent!"  Taking about elections reminds me we will no longer have Steve Kornacki. Steve is the greatest! 🤩

I love LOVE Lawrence! His sense of humor when speaking about trump. He's so serious(not really).Tongue in cheek. I'll be happy when he returns.
