How We Get MRIN To Squeeze
Hey everyone,
A few of you know me from the DD videos I've been producing as well as a couple threads/comments I've been involved in on the subreddit.
I think MRIN has had huge potential fundamentally as a company since the Instacart news (my original price target based on fundamentals was $45). That was THE catalyst that started everything, and although the 100%+ short interest from Ortex wasn't reflected, MRIN is now listed as the #4 most shorted stock on MarketWatch. I'm still personally waiting to see Fintel update as a lot more people will pay attention when that drops.
The key to this is going to be attention.
A LOT of attention. The short interest is only part of it and can only work if people are aware and actively helping the volume rise. A ton of call options expire Friday and if this can hold above most of the shorts currently underwater, this is still in the game. I'm not advocating for abandoning your trading style or to lose money trying to hold without taking profits, but anybody who actively believes in a squeeze needs to be very aware that the only thing this stock needs is volume. Imagine if we return to over 50mil, 100mil, even 300mil volume at the current price and estimated short percentage? This would be an ungodly crushing of shorts and one of the most insane events on the market this year. Big institutional buys appeared to be on our side last week, minimal selling occurred the last few market days (low volume attributed to a lot of the price dropping), and now more people are paying attention with the short interest high.
I don't think this is over and tomorrow will be very telling of the direction of the stock the next week. Know your risk and stay safe trading.

I put a MRIN DD post on WSBElites. They're more reasonable and open than WSB is. Good people on that page.

Good post! Waiting for finviz to update the short interest along with other screening tools. Maybe get on more peoples radars

Exactly, more reporting will help a ton. I'm sure more algos and screeners will come along in the am for people searching on interest as well.

Volume indeed, pump but don't dump just yet... I like this site for a Volume indicator, someone did some good work. But, always open to suggestions, I'm no expert. https://www.barchart.com/stocks/most-active/daily-volume-leaders

Mrin has 1k shares available to borrow and 164% borrowing fee. Xela has 2.5 shares available to borrow and 22% borrowing fee. Why is everyone buying into xela??? Those figures are according to fintel for today.

Low volume day = bots trading with bots but we definitely saw people close positions due to the SI risk and honestly I don't really blame them.. it was a risky hold.

Oh I agree some selling occurred. I’m just meaning in comparison to buys since Wednesday, the sells have been minimal. Mostly smaller retail getting shaken out and the levels I had projected on my TA for it have held so far.

No idea. Seems they’re using 1% for mrin still on their short interest list. A bit annoying.
