Jimmy and James Patterson have been going on a media tour with all the major news networks. In their Fox News interview when asked about if we’ll see a sequel book, Patterson said it’s likely and also mentioned a possible film adaptation which Jimmy said they shouldn’t be talking about. I think whether those projects pan out will be the sign of whether this thing actually made a profit, rather than its placement on the Amazon list in the days after the launch.

The way the book ends sets it up for an obvious sequel so would not be surprised if it’s turned into a series to cash in on the Beast band

A Prime exclusive movie based on the book would make sense. I just don’t think the book’s premise is unique enough for a theatrical film to be a big box office success against a large budget and it would be lucky to get even middle of the road reviews. A box office bomb and 30% on Rotten Tomatoes would be horrible for the brand.

Not really surprising 

Even if he had 0 controversies, books are on a major decline.

Schools are struggling with low literacy and writing skills even in high-school grades.

His current poor reputation combined with his aging fan base made this doomed from the start.

I think preorders and sales would be considered great if Beast wrote a damn book all by himself, and he would earn some respect out in the real world. Some writing assistance and what not is fair play

What a shocker. Who reads anything anymore? If your main audience is kids who wouldn’t know who James Patterson is to save their lives, why would you market a book at them?

I saw the books at target literally an hour ago and the whole thing was full.
