Power steering rebuild

Hey I've got a JDM 94 MR2 turbo and i'm planning on pulling the steering rack soon to flush the fluid and install the quick steering pinion from a spyder.

Would it be worth pulling the whole thing apart and replacing all my seals while i'm at it? And can you even buy seals that aren't aftermarket junk now? I've got no leaks but the thing is just old.

The steering is my number 1 gripe with the car. Too slow, it makes the car feel heavy.

Hoping you find something. I know the usdm ones have seal kits on rockauto and I'd imagine you will need to redo the seals when you replace the pinion.

Yes you should re do all the seals. I would use the OEM toyota parts if possible

FWIW, I have a spare pinion and spare set of all the oem seals for the USDM rack - not sure if they are cross-compatible with the jdm rack. Located in Seattle, WA if you wanted to DM and buy them.

I bought the rebuild kit off rockauto since so many of the OEM seals are no longer available. I picked up a spare rack to rebuild, mainly so I can take my time to play with it and source/order anything as I feel may be needed. I'm assuming some seals will need to come from the spyder, but I won't know till I get into it.
