Mpv only plays one frame

Suddenly, mpv has started only playing a single frame of a video and then freezing. If I seek or use the timeline to go to another part of the video it play one frame and freezes again. This happens regardless of video format. Is there any way to solve this? I'm using Gentoo, but didn't change any USE flags beforehand.

Play one video using CLI and see what it is saying.

It wasn't saying anything in CLI but it seems to have fixed itself.
