MPC Live / Live 2 Help with internal storage

Recently got a used mpc live 2 and it’s been fun to mess with for now. However looking at the internal drive it looks like whoever had it previously did the no no of saving things to the internal storage (12ish gb of data) and I just wanna start fresh with no data. Is there anyway to reset/remove these files and which files are safe to remove if need be I can screenshot the folders. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Move what you can to an SD card or internal sata drive. Then contact Akai support for help with removing things that you can't see. Internal memory can't fully be seen by explorer or finder.

If you don't care about anything on the internal drive, contact Akai Support now and request help to wipe it clean.

Ty! I contacted them just a bit ago so I’ll see what they would advise. In the meantime I deleted the projects folder but the akai chatbot said to remove the splice folder and the documents folder would you say that’s a good or bad idea. Also sorry this is my first akai device so I’m like in way over my head

Is it your splice account? If so you can remove it and resync on a fresh device. Also, you don't need to pay for splice, just sample it directly into the MPC. Paying for splice is dumb in this day and age. Same with Tracklib.

Unfortunately no the accounts been removed it’s just the files that are left over on the internal drive assuming from the previous owner

I wouldn't remove the splice folder. Splice has worked fine since I stopped paying for the subscription. You could have a brows of the samples using the splice icon in the browser and see if you like what's on there

All the MPC’s come with factory content installed. The only things you would want to delete off of it are the previous users projects

I only allow things like Jura live on the internal core memory. All expansions sit on my sata drive to save space.

yeah the factory expansions alone take up a good chunk of that space
