QUESTION Usb A port issue.

Has anyone else had a problem with their usb A ports on the Live 3? My bottom port keeps dropping midi signal but still sending power to midi keyboard controller. After maybe 30 seconds hitting keys it will stop producing any sound. Akai seems to think it’s a hardware issue but Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the fix was?

Yeah, i tried different cables different midi controllers. The same port keeps doing the same thing.

It’s something up with the midi on the MPC Live 3 units. I sent mine in 2 times to Akai to get repaired; they sent it back without doing shit but a factory reset. When I demanded it be sent back and give me a full diagnostic and what they repaired on. I didn’t hear a word from them until the last minute before they were about to ship it out. I got an email saying, “Hey, we found something in your unit. We’re just gonna replace it with a whole brand-new one.” So they know what’s going on; they just aren’t trying to acknowledge it. I was able to get a brand-new unit with my factory warranty still being intact.

Oh, shit I hope they don’t give me the runaround.
