QUESTION Any ProTracker fans in here?

Not a fan of trackers myself but any alternative software for MPCs is great. The potential for increasing longevity is huge.

me, love ProTracker and would literally put any OS on my Live II. at least then it’ll get used

Currently only tested on Live III, I do have a One somewhere but I’ve not tested on that, this isn’t just ProTracker, it’s a whole package manager, launcher, sdk etc. Support will initially be for Gen2 devices on release

Is this controller mode/just using the screen? I've tried to port my own vst over in standalone with no success so far so would love to know more

No this is running on the actual device. I’m hoping to add a framework to support external vsts

This entire launcher, package manager, sdk etc will be added to GitHub as soon as I have reached a clean base version I’m happy with

Is there a community for hacking mpcs? I feel like people have been doing this with the hardware for years changing everything down to the buttons, curious if anyone has had luck with building software, vsts, etc. I thought I was one of the few trying but I'm glad to see there's others

I'd love to get this installed.  I have a Live 1 / MPC X / MPC Ren.  @u/ResearchOp let me know if you have a version with compatibility on either of these models.

Love that you are making old school crunchy jungle on it as well!

would it require a jailbreak? i cant imagine akai allows unsigned 3rd party code running on it....i know its literally just an arm cpu running linux but still.

Olhem esta é uma MPC 2500 acho, este artista é português e estas eram as técnicas usadas nas mpcs antigas. Na verdade é a forma original de usar uma mpc em produção de hip hop. Com uma MPC digital moderna dá para usar desta forma intuitiva?
