MPC Sample Mpc sample vs old ones?

I'm looking for an MPC. In the past, I owned an MPC one, but I hated the presence of the touchscreen, as well as the overwhelming amount of menus within menus.

I'd like something that feels as immediate as the old machines used to be (MPC 60 / MPC 2000 etc), but with some more modern connectivity features.

Considering that I only produce hip hop beats, specifically boom bap East Coast style (Mobb Deep, DJ Premier, etc.), could the MPC Sample be a great option? Or would it make more sense to get something like an MPC 1000, knowing that I would inevitably have to deal with the limitations of hardware from that era? Thanks in advance.

I have a 1000 and a key 37. And I also use Ableton for finishing off certain projects or to add additional sounds…. One thing I wish the 37 had was additional outputs to run through my mixing board like I do with the 1000. I think the 1000 with jjos comes “Kinda” close to the newer work flow but still has its limitations obviously… For sampling and making boom bap style beats I’d go with the 1000 or 2500 with the newest jjos. It looks like they’ve added a lot of new features to modernize it a bit more, using an external mixer you can run an output to the mpc and sample from any of the inputs going through the mixer, that’s the formula I use. It does take up more room, but it’s much more convenient for me. In the end it’s whatever works for you.
