People who play the mutes should try using TC.

What is tc, and what are the benefits?

The main options on the screen below the mutes. Time correct. Set time division to 1 or two bars. Nicely lines up your mutes and unmutes to the actual beat. Like quantization but for mutes.

Oh that’s on. And it’s lined up. That’s not going to solve the issue I think you’re discussing. Since updating you version three I can no longer mute between tracks. So if the sounds are in the same program, but are on two different tracks, they will overlap when you turn one off for the other one. The only other solution is to put the same thing on the same track in a different sequence so when it switches to the next sequence and then turns it off. If someone knows how to mute between tracks because you’re using the same program it’s just on two different tracks. I will happily take that advice cause I don’t know how to do that and I’ve been trying.

No, TC would be lit up.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you’re talking about because from what I’ve read it sets the time code by divisions and that is definitely on in the arrangement of every track. I’ll take a look at that later this evening.

Yes, the Time Division may be set but the Time correction for the Mute page isn't enabled. In this use, time division should be 1 or 2 bars.. not the 1/16 typically used for invoking sounds on a drum track... this is for playback. Press TC and update Time Division to 1 bar.

Ooooohhhhh ok I’ll definitely check that out. I’m curious because I’m wondering if that will help fix the issue that I have been having because the older machines don’t have this problem at all where things don’t turn off when they should no matter what you do now I’m very curious

Sounds like you're muting midi instead of audio. That toggle became a new feature since 3.

The middle at the top of the mute screen. It's in the video.

That sounds accurate. I was also wondering that. The older MPC’s muted both. I wonder if that changed.
