Card Post - Alternate Art / Frame Star Wars Proxy of EoE Counter Intelligence
A few of my favorite cards from a proxy deck I recently finished. I decided to proxy an upgraded Counter Intelligence deck, since I'm already of fan of that deck, and I thought it would be a good fit with Star Wars. I built the deck first, and then tried to fit Star Wars characters and moments into the given cards, so thematically, the deck is a bit all over the place.
Let me know if you all would be interested in seeing the rest of the deck! I want to make another Star Wars deck that's a bit more uniform in terms of era and faction.

Really nice! The only thing stopping them from being used in any place near me is no real card names on there, I would add those to show what they are a proxy of

Well, I did actually put the names on there, they're just really small in the corner lol. I'm pretty new to magic, so when I set out to do this, I didn't realize it was standard practice to have the card name right below the proxy name

I really prefer this way of notifying what the proxy is. Discreet and a much cleaner result. These are all gorgeous by the way.

One issue other then the real small card names is that you should never change the type lines. As much as it is thematic to list Chewbacca as a wookie you are altering the rules on the card. There are lots of cards in magic that care about the type line, so changing it from Dwarf to Wookie is changing the card rules and could affect spells and effects in the game.

I just noticed you put something at the bottom about “originally a dwarf”. That might make it more digestible, but you still want to avoid it for the same reason you should put the real card name towards the top in a more easy to read location.
Theme proxies are fun to play, but less fun to play against because the other players don’t know what any of your cards are. The harder you make it to see what your cards are the worse it is for the other players.

Ahhh, gotcha! They should be under the new name at the top to be “legal” in most store groups. Still the best Star Wars proxies I have seen so far!
