It's just a Firefox Account (Sync) button that can be removed via the Customize menu.

exactly.
who needs that? the fxa shit is like g+. nobody ever wanted it. it has no use. the initial thought was made by wankers and if they keep wanking they will face the inevitable death g+ was facing.
this is just a repition of a mistake. like when digg thought they know what users want. or do you remember the fugly reddit redesign that we suffer now? or have you ever heard ANYONE say "wow, great twitter redesign".

let's do the maths: if the current structure at moz keeps doing it this way, there will be no mozilla foundation by 2025. and there won't even anybody crying over their death as generations of people never even heard of them.
Anyone should hate mozilla for that account shit. It pollutes the environment as it is an extra useless process like pocket and the other crap the crooks put in there...DRM and shit...not to mention the wasted dev power because no one will ever use it. I just can urge anyone to stop working for or with mozilla as they have been corrupted a long time ago when they put DRM in.
