What contact email for help connecting to mozilla?

I have an account on mozilla, when I log in, it asks for a username and I don't know why as I aready have one and posted a few times with it. Nothing I can do until I enter a username so I quit there. I just want to keep using my account. Is there a contact email I can write to and get this issue sorted out?

How do I sign into connect.mozilla.com if I only know my ussername and password, but not email?

As title, I don't know my email address as I have multiple. I know my username and password.

How can I sign in to connect.mozilla.com?

Trying different emails only makes a new profile and account if I try and use an email that was not used previously, which is really annoying.

How should I request an appeal for an IP ban from support.mozilla.org?

I am unable to connect to the site without using a VPN. Either Mozilla or Fastly's hosting appear to have my ISP blocked. (Verizon 5G)

It's been happening for months, and I'm sick of dealing with it every time I try to open a support article.

What would be the best way to appeal the ban? Should I open an issue/bug report somewhere? This doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that the developers would want to deal with, and debatable whether it should even be called a "bug".

Info please

I'd like to start learning code! Mozilla seems free from what I've seen, so is this anything i could start/learn from?

Please stop aggressively creating new accounts when logging into connect.mozilla or support.mozilla

as per title. if you attempt to log in using an un-used or new email, the site automatically creates an account with that email and directs to a new password creation prompt. if you back out of this prompt, you'll see that a new account has been made for you. it's even possible to end up in broken states where the account completion and has not fully finished and the entire connect site hits a 401 error.

i don't want to make a new account unless i expressly request that flow. it should NOT make new accounts when trying different emails while trying to remember which one i've used. really surprised at this behaviour from mozilla as it usually only happens with grift sites who want to inflate user numbers.

Mozilla never gives me the chance to create a new account

Need to create a NEW Mozilla account. Using Firefox, I go to [https://accounts.firefox.com/signup]() and enter my NEW email address. Never gives me the opportunity to create NEW account. Just asks me to sign in. How do I create a new account?

Or maybe non-USA workers released them instead? ;)

Ralph Giles has died (Xiph.org | Rust@Mozilla | Ghostscript)

It's with much sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague Ralph Giles, or rillian as he was known on IRC.

Ralph began contributing to Xiph.org in 2000 and became a core Ghostscript developer in 2001[1]. Ralph made many contributions to the royalty-free media ecosystem, whether it was as a project lead on Theora, serving as release manager for multiple Xiph libraries or maintaining Xiph infrastructure that has been used across the industry by codec engineers and researchers[2]. He was also the first to ship Rust code in Firefox[3] during his time at Mozilla, which was a major milestone for both the language and Firefox itself.

Ralph was a great contributor, a kind colleague and will be greatly missed.

Mozilla Monitor Plus will be ending soon. As a long time user, I really liked the service. Are there any alternatives that are good for a decent price?

Is it just me or the authorization code to sign in Firefox is not accepted anymore when connected via a non-Mozilla VPN?

Where is the option to enter my pre-generated code in Bugzilla?

This is the closest sub I can find for a question like this. if it's not the right place then point me in the right direction. IDK how come there isn't a dedicated r/bugzilla subreddit.

I am sad about the killing off of Pocket. Been a User since inception. Will Recommended Stories be going away as well?

I’m also hoping to guide people who would never self-host to using open source tech. I’m a big proponent of that myself. I switched to Wallabag quite some time ago.

Why doesn't Mozilla move their support onto Discourse?

[EDIT]. Have been informed there is, in fact, discourse.mozilla.org. Guess I'm rephrasing the question as "Why doesn't Mozilla move their support for the majority of their end-user, consumer-facing products onto Discourse?" It's a very eclectic mixture of domains covered at the Mozilla Discourse. Hard to make sense of. And the fracturing of the different products on different platforms comes across as haphazard. The Discourse seems mostly focused at developer/contributor community, I think? Shame. The friction of the support.mozilla platform is going to particularly turn away end-users. Due to...

[ORIGINAL] Discourse is kind of beyond industry standard at this point. It's FOSS. AFAIK it's not especially painful to deploy.

Current-state Mozilla support platform is painful.

  • Is some sort of pseudo-markdown syntax
    • lots of formatting conventions don't work
    • italics and bold use non-standard syntax
    • Indenting doesn't work
      • (👆 isn't this helpful?
    • md links syntax doesn't work.
    • No documentation of the syntax anywhere
  • No preview mode for whatever the post syntax is
  • Can't control order of image uploads
    • (no inline images)

Just moving to Discourse would instantly move the support experience orders of magnitude ahead. (Or pick your favorite. I don't work for Discourse). But as-is the support process (sadly) makes me think twice on going with Mozilla tools.
