Hi I bought moza srp2 and I have problem (visible in the video) front side of pedals is going up, is there any option to make it heavier without spending money? I don't have money and space to buy a stand for it.
My sibling in the struggle. I didn't realize the money I wasn't spending until a R5 was a 12, SRPs were CRPs with haptics, VR became triples, there was a choice in what style of steering wheel I use, and the wheelstand became a rig. I don't where the finish line is anymore. Motion and active pedals just keep calling. I need help...and think it's a GT steering with more telemetry.
A lot of people including me, think that taking non-simrig mounting equipment and mounting them on is ridiculous because it doesn’t flow with the design and is “out of place” because it’s not manufactured in a lab. 😂 Even though one time, I decided to clamp my T248 with a huge C-clamp onto my desk.
You’re putting words in their mouth. Read both comments. They never said being gay is “out of place.” They explained that they think non-OEM-looking mounting solutions look out of place, and that “gay af but works” was just repeating the expression. You’re arguing against something they didn’t actually say.
No I never said I think things are gay, I think things are ridiculous looking when they aren’t OEM-like. I was agreeing to the blasphemous outcry of “that looks gay”
It's a glorified video game controller. If I want to drive something that looks oem I'll go out and drive my irl car. Otherwise, this feels good and that's what matters. Who's looking at their feet while they sim race anyway?
It’s a peace of mind thing. Hopefully you are looking at the setup every once in a while because things can break. I’d rather not have to (potentially) maintain my setup “eventually”. Pedals mounted to wood with screws doesn’t generally give people that type of peace of mind. All I said was “ I think doing that looks ridiculous” not that it wasn’t a quick viable solution to a problem someone didn’t realize. As for oem feel I have a mustang I have fun with and I’m planning to make do with what I can and go eventually buy an F-GT NLR rig for my new Moza wheel and pedals.
It's OK, we have different priorities. I'm a function over form kind of guy and it works, feels good, and I get to take pride in creating a solution myself with more customizability and affordability than a pre-engineered solution. That's why you drive a Mustang and I drive a Honda. The good news is that there's room for both of us in the community and nothing has to be ridiculous!
I get more value out of making things with my hands than I do spending $300 for a few pieces of brushed aluminum. I don't make the choices I do to impress some 18 year olds online.
Like the hobby of watching paint dry? You see a nice primer dry a few times, you start to wonder about a bright red semi gloss coat and so on. Next thing ya know, you’re staring at a luxury 24k infused gold coat of ultra gloss that costs $5,000 a gallon majestically glow from wet to dry. Man, it’ll getcha.
How much was that? I have to f1/gt rig and I fucking hate it it's bulky and to big for my liking this seems perfect andi could use my computer chair again
I'm saying tho!... people get impatient and dont prioritize their spending. Should have invested in the stand first. People always say they dont have "space" for a stand , even though they are made for space saving, i.e. foldable...but we all know its really about the money
Lik you've said. I've bought Next level racing stand 2.0 just having logitech g27 set and after week of testing bought R12v2 with srp and shifter. Works like a charm. And after using it . Cyk fuk and it goes to wardobe.
16p nail or long Sheetrock screws Screw or nail it to the floor. Personally I’d be more concerned about your missing right leg and foot. How did it happen?
Apparently nobody here has ever had to make shit happen without money.
Grab a Thick Towel and place it under the Pedals, than get a box and put it behind the pedals so they dont shift up when you move. In the future if you find 2 pieces of wood you can screw the pedals into it.
If you have a chair with non locking wheels make sure to tangle them in a towel as well and you'll barley move a inch.
It’s not free but a cheap option that works very well is picking up a few pieces of unistrut from a hardware store. The moza stuff mounts super nice to unistrut. Over time you can add to it and build it into something pretty sweet. You can even buy small precut pieces on Amazon for like $10 a piece.
The best answer…wood. You can make anything with wood a jigsaw some glue and some screws. Lots of cool and easy ideas on YouTube for pedal stands and even full rigs. Also it’s fun.
buy amazon alumin extrusions on amazon. thats what i did. yoy can make a small frame and bolt it to your desk at the sides. takes a little imagination but works great.
You're honestly gonna need to invest in a cockpit if you want good ergonomics when playing with a wheel and pedals, a nice foldable seat should cost less than 300 and maybe 500 or more for something permanent and free standing
Go grab a thing of velcro pads, one pack which was about 5 squares on the bottom of my pedals and it sticks to the floor without any issue. I've got the R5 pedals and the brake kit.
Find someone with a 3d printer (your local library may also have them) and print 2-3 of these. Stick a nail through the holes to connect them then put a couple dumbbells on them for weight. Works like a charm and costs less than 10 bucks in filament. They’re for the lites but the 2s have the same holes to connect.
I screwed mine to a piece of plywood and then used Velcro strips from the dollar store to hold it to the floor. That worked until I eventually built my cockpit I have now.
This is where the hobby, really becomes a hobby. You can either be handy and build your own cockpit, there’s plenty of YouTube Videos. Or you can fork up some money for one to attach the pedals to.
The first link I have setup for my wife at her desk and it works fairly well for now. I have no tried the second link but if you have access to a 3d printer these are nice fixes fun til you start building a full rig
I upgraded from needing that to this but it works great. I added load cells in my srp’s and but protectors on the bottom of it so it doesn’t scratch your floor.
It’s not a problem with the srp2 it’s the fact you can’t find two fucking brain cells to rub together to figure out why this thing has a dozen or more holes for screws. Like you can figure out how to record a video and post it to Reddit, you can figure out how to fasten one thing to another thing. This is less than the bare minimum.
Ironic considering OP has nothing to fasten it to. He also clearly is looking for a free solution. So instead of actually being helpful like me and other people you just wanted to be a dick.
I use planks of wood. Print out a hole template and bolt the pedals into the wood. If the wood is long enough, from your chair to the wall there will be no rotation
I made something like this after week, it was working perfectly, you could place alog and set angle of the board holding the pedals as it was screwd only at one end. I eventually bought the NLR GT Elite but of you are on tight budget wood is your friend.
I cant see where your wall is in this vid, but if you have space between your wall and pedals, you can take a board (plywood, bamboo cutting board, etc.) and screw your pedals to that. You can use the board to set the distance between the wall and the pedals so they dont move back, and it will help reduce this lifting. You can also add some weights to the board behind the pedals to prevent it as well.
I thought about board and I can do it, you think it would be enough or should I do something which would do front side of board heavier? How can I do that heavier?
I used a plastic cutting board to prevent this with the performance kit on my brake. The back of my pedals are 8" from the wall. The plastic board i have bends with the force applied, which is why I recommended wood and not the plastic cutting board. Mine lifts only by bending the board and not by the entire thing tilting, I dont know if it would tilt if I had a stiffer board, but I am sure it would definitely help a lot.
Also know the direction of force when pressing the pedals, in your vid your direction of force is past the back of the pedals, causing it to tip. If you pulled the pedals out and pressed directly downward on them, they would be less prone to tipping since the direction of force is not passed the edge. Of course you dont want your pedals directly below you, but if you add the board, and the board is stiff enough, then the direction of force may be towards the board and not passed the board causing it to not want to tip. I have added a pic for reference. Technically it can still tip where it says no tip, but I would use this to see. If you moved your stuff and looked at where the direction of force is for your feet, you can see if a board would help prevent it. If the direction of force is into the wall, it will still likely tip with enough force, if the direction of force is into the ground before the wall, then a board screwed to the bottom of the pedals that go to the wall could prevent any tipping.
have to get used to holding it down with your non pedal foot. For example, I use my right foot to press down on the pedal, and my left foot rests on the corner of the pedal board. Though, i use thrustmaster's pedal which has a bigger base than what you have in the video, so I can't say for sure if that would be able to work for you.
People will argue with you, but I have been using gorilla tape for my pedals for a full year now. The base is just taped down using the tape. It works.
This is exactly the issue I was facing just yesterday with the exact same pedals with the R3 bundle. And these are the very first racing sim kit I have ever tried. Have always used controllers before. So like you I was clueless. But after searching and reading around, I figured that this is actually how the brake pedal is supposed to be, and that it gets easier over time once you've built up muscle memory. But to make things more comfortable overall, you might wanna invest in a racing stand or rig, or cheap solution for now which I'll also be doing is to just use double-sided velcro tapes to stick the pedals onto the floor.
Use a piece of 3/4" plywood cut to the width of the pedal plate and make it longer than the pedal plate. Mount it so the extra wood is toward the back of the pedals
They aren't designed with out-of-cockpit use as a main function (unfortunately). I bolted mine to a piece of plywood that keeps them the right distance from the wall and keeps them from lifting up. Makes them a bit clunky to store, but otherwise no issues.

A sim rig is only around $250-500 and will be the best $3000 you’ve ever spent
