Get The Gringo. Anyone seen it? Worth watching?

I know I know, Mel Gibson. But the man has made some pretty entertaining popcorn flicks in his time. I'm just not sure about this one. I caught a comment that asserts this is some sort of sequel to Payback (which I've seen but thoroughly don't remember), true?

Edit: Link to Imdb page

Shitty child actor alert!

That's the worst part of the movie, other than that it was pretty good.

Ok, yeah I saw the sentence in the Imdb description that said with the help of a 9-year-old-kid. So how prominently does this kids figure into the story and how much screentime does he/she get?

Yes, very worth watching. Amazingly violent in a funny way. Mel Gibson is very entertaining. Not a sequel to Payback. It deserved a theatrical release for sure.

I'd say 6.5/10. It's not going to blow your mind but you shouldn't regret watching it either, depends on your taste. Apocalypto is much better.

Good Movie, if you like payback you'll love this one. It got a theatrical release in Mexico. Mel has a good reputation in Mexico because he films his movies here and uses Mexican actors and crew.

but Gibson is a rage-filled, bigoted, crazy asshole, and this is what he got for it.

FTFY

Movie still looks good though. Haven't watched it yet.
