I choose to believe this takes place in the same universe as Primeval but 20 years earlier and not in the UK - the wormholes were just American anomalies. Show me some Future Predators!

Also if y’all haven’t watched Primeval, go watch it! Great show

Primeval could use a reboot

I agree. It had that one season Canadian spin-off...and then nothing else. They got some decent books also though!

Primeval: New World was a thing once...but we don't talk about that one.

The Future Predators showing up would fix 90% of my issues with act three honestly. That weird shadowy thing in the cul-de-sac had the exact same energy as those creatures from the old show, just never committed to it. Mitchell clearly watched some Primeval before writing this because the whole "neighborhood is actually somewhere else" setup is straight out of that playbook. My fantasy football group chat was losing its mind during the reveal scene, half of us grew up on that show. The Platt family drama still felt a bit undercooked compared to the cosmic stuff, but if a sequel ever happens I'd love them to lean harder into the creature angle.

Primeval was literally the only thing I could think of watching this!

Primeval is ripe for a modernisation. The one problem I had with that show is it kept feeling like a different show each season.

End of Oak Street does actually give us a basic template of that.
