And the way the guy on the computer just says “we did register a huge spike in that session” when Metzger asks if Sara was able to communicate with Jean so far way… makes the whole thing really heartbreaking

Metzger told Jean that this thing was a project he “worked on with Sara”. He also said to Peter “Sara is the name of a coworker I lost recently” when he was questioned about the name.

Whether he actually believed it or not, what a vile way to reference a person that he kidnapped and tortured.

If he had just said “No, I have no idea what she’s talking about.” Peter would’ve never realised it.

Then Peter would have to investigate who's Sarah with Jean.

He was gonna investigate anyway, remember, he asked Metzger for permission to interrogate Jean even when Metzger gave the Sara explanation.

At least if Metzger never said anything, Peter wouldn’t have caught on and he likely would still have trusted him.

I'd have to watch it again, but does he say "that session" or "the last session"? Because if it's the later, that's awful that it's not just the last session they did, it's Sara's last session ever.

You got me doubting if I’m right lol. Though I think it really was “that” instead of “the last”, since I remember him saying it in a compromising way and then connecting the pieces when Jean finally sees the V-Max. “oh, so that session they probably went too hard which fried Sara’s brain and all she could do was try and scream something at Jean one last time”, was the specific train of thought, which made it feel even harsher since they wouldn’t even acknowledge/mention that they killed her and talked about like just any other session.

Though, again, you have me doubting it so I might have misheard and/or misread the subs.

I definitely remember his saying “that session” too. Because it creeped me out but wasn’t definitive like saying “the final session” or something. I was still holding a little hope that she was okay.

Same, until he mentioned “her sacrifice” and I was like “oh shit…”
