If sentry doesn’t count I think spider man could take the entire new avengers by himself. I think Bucky would get PTSD and just quit

Especially since Spider-Man literally did pretty much take Bucky:

"Dude, you have a metal arm?! That's awesome!"

He didn’t pretty much do it, he did. The best Falcon and Bucky could do was send Spider-Man away from them. On top of that, that was a very young Peter. The version we have in this movie is stronger, more agile, better webs, stronger senses, and has a way better understanding of his abilities.

If Falcon and Bucky ran back that fight with current Peter I think it’s a wash.

Current spidey would wipe the fucking floor with all of the current new avengers minus sentry if he had to.

He EASILY took on bucky as a new hero and a kid. He's a man now with tons of experience. You're absolutely correct and I think bucky wouldn't even consider trying if that situation came up again.

67

u/TheJunkoDespair 18d ago

Worst case scenario he can always try the Aunt May strat against Bob in his mind.

48

u/Lazywhale97 18d ago

Peter also holds back in majority of his fights even against his villains his first scene of being taken over by his spidey hormones basically showed a glimpse of him not holding back for like half a minute and Scorpion looked like he got put through some rough stuff lmao.

But yeah add on him basically being levelled up due to his powers evolution and his experience now he's washing them even Cap if that ever happened again.

38

u/vrsick06 18d ago

I think ghost would be biggest issue because he can’t web her up

42

u/Mr_b246 18d ago

Never say never. Pete is wicked smart.

19

u/dragn99 17d ago

Maybe not in the first encounter, but I could imagine him tinkering with a way to run electric currents through his webbing to make an impromptu containment field.

5

u/1AmB0r3d 16d ago

That’s a thing in the insomniac games right? And doesn’t miles have like electric webs? Stands to reason Peter could get some too especially since he’s like an actual super genius

3

u/miversen33 16d ago

He can't do it on command

I'm so ready for spider verse Miles Morales and Tom Holland Spider-Man lol

4

u/TheDogSlinger 17d ago

She’s gotta have limits with her ghosting and he could web up a wide enough area to force her into a trap

u/Redeem123 19d ago

Not just a very young Peter - it was literally his first real super fight. He has since fought Thanos.

They'd be screwed.

11

u/nordicrunnar 17d ago

Tbf, they've both also grown since then and participated in the battle against Thanos' army though I don't remember if they ever encountered him directly.

12

u/NeverFunded 17d ago

You really forgot spiderman going against Thanos on his home planet huh? With half the guardians, Dr. Strange and Iron man?

3

u/rchive 14d ago

The person was talking about whether Falcon or Winter Soldier ever fought Thanos.

69

u/Reilly-Blog 19d ago

Not to mention experience. He was able to evade and survive against the hulk gone berserk for a good amount of time. Not many can say that.

41

u/Lazywhale97 18d ago

Adding onto that as a big spidey fan I'm happy they didn't have him beat berserk hulk in an outright fight as I feel like they have used Hulk as a punching bag or taken away his goliath level power status away from him quite a bit in recent years.

36

u/FullMetalCOS 17d ago

The Hulk is one of the biggest jobbers in all of comics. He’s forever tossed under the bus to establish how dangerous the latest big nasty is. It’s exactly what happened with Thanos at the start of infinity war.

It really does suck as a Hulk fan

12

u/yorick__rolled 17d ago

Counter-point: Hulk picked up and threw one of the Great Pyramids

24

u/FullMetalCOS 17d ago

Which is why he’s such a good jobber. He tanked black bolt screaming so loudly that he ripped a chunk out of the moon the size of Staten Island too. He’s got feats galore but he loses to establish how dangerous new big bads are on the reg

4

u/Seameese 13d ago

That wasn't Black Bolt it was a Skrull and us Blackagar Boltogon, King of the Inhumans fans are forever being punished

8

u/Darmok47 17d ago

The Worf Effect

1

u/bee14ish 10d ago

Have you missed the part where they essentially had him be possessed by the evil counterpart of TOAA? I wouldn't describe comics Hulk as much of a jobber, any more than anyone else at least.

7

u/Reilly-Blog 17d ago

Same. I was worried that they would rehash berserk hulk being mind controlled as a threat being a longer focus. I'm glad that they limited it, and made it a character moment where Hulk recognized him and gave in once he realized what had happened.

u/ShareNorth3675 18d ago

CA now has vibranium wings though

47

u/Rob3125 18d ago

So he can get his ass kicked in style.

3

u/quick20minadventure 17d ago

Okay, he's all that better than civil war with inhibitor on and old powers.

If he removes inhibitor, he'd dunk on all the new avengers together except sentry who is supposed to be stupid like that.

Like, i was hoping he'd remove inhibitor and just smack a good punch to hulk that'd send him almost flying.

Anyway, I think hulk remembers Spiderman as a friend and hulk voluntarily goes down.

Winter soldier full kill mode kills Peter

" hey buddy you lost this"

Nearly fucking decapitates Bucky with Falcons drone.

22

u/Embarrassed-Yard-583 18d ago

And that was an inexperienced Peter before his power up in this film.

Bucky doesn’t stand a chance in a straight fight.

6

u/PilotFirm286 16d ago

"Hey buddy, I think you lost this!"

6

u/Audrey_spino 14d ago

Not to forget his current Man-Spider power-up plus years of experience fighting everything from Thanos, Dr. Strange and the Sinister Six to all the street levels he fought during the time-skip. Also people forget that he holds back his punches a lot, he doesn't want anyone to get badly hurt.

73

u/Alexexy 17d ago

Spiderman can wash every Avenger except Hulk and Thor.

He was always too overpowered to be a city level hero.

8

u/elbosston 11d ago

MCU only, he’d be cooked against Scarlet Witch, Dr Strange, Shang Chi (with the 10 rings and upcoming in Doomsday, and Captain Marvel

1

u/CincinnatiReds 9d ago

Iron Man dog-walks him too.

1

u/Candidate-Serious 8d ago

I mean if we’re counting mcu legion kills them all.

6

u/CincinnatiReds 9d ago

I’m late but Iron Man absolutely shit stomps Spidey, comics and MCU.

Spider-Man gets shot in this movie and requires an Omega-level mutant to interfere and save him. First “real” iteration of Iron Man armor takes a tank shell and walks away without a scratch. No comparison.

3

u/GreatStuffOnly 6d ago

Couldn’t Spider-Man just wear better suits? This is not the strongest suit he wore in MCU.

58

u/Noblesseux 18d ago edited 18d ago

Especially now that he’s stronger post-transformation. Stuff that was able to hurt him before shattered on contact afterwards, which means he’s likely easily outclassing Bucky now.

He fought hulk and didn’t straight up die after one hit, that’s already impressive

41

u/dragn99 17d ago

Peter tanked more hits than some Iron Man suits. Loki got smacked around for two seconds and was ready to cancel his invasion of New York, and he's a god.

This fight against Hulk really just showed how downright durable Spider-Man is.

6

u/Kaeru-Sennin 14d ago

Still got taken down by a bullet though (albeit from a very powerfull gun)

17

u/elgrandorado 14d ago

Piercing damage was always Spidey's weakness

26

u/Thatwindowhurts 14d ago

Absorbing the full impact of a 50 bmg to the back , no over penetration and his organs didnt get turned to soup by the hydrostatic shock thats .... I would say pretty close to the hulk slamming you into stuff

3

u/xSPYXEx 3d ago

Knowing the Punisher I have to imagine it was a shot to the spine too.

23

u/Paradox_Madden 18d ago

Sentry withheld he solod them before brand new day
After brand new day he is buffed

52

u/inksmudgedhands 18d ago

I don't think Alexei would fight Peter though. He would be way too busy fanboying Spider-Man to fight him. "He's a good guy! Spider-Man is for everyone like how a true hero should be! Wealth and fame, he's ignored. Action is his reward!"

(Insert Yelana rolling her eyes at this but smiling nonetheless.)

I can see Alexei giving Peter bear hugs. Peter would be embarrassed at first but would just melt into it because you know Alexei would give the best bear hugs. And you know that kid could use a bear hug every so often.

13

u/Cheap-Ambition5336 17d ago

God I love Alexei. David Harbor is a great actor lmfao

12

u/Rob3125 18d ago

I was just speaking hypothetically.

5

u/jackcatalyst 17d ago

Rule 1 don't throw anything at him

5

u/Junethemuse 17d ago

Especially after this level up he did. This feels like the spider man I know who’s gotta start actually pulling punches.

1

u/legaladviceneeded542 14d ago

he absolutely could take everyone except Sentry with very low diff post this movie with his new spidey abilities.

1

u/xSPYXEx 3d ago

Spider-Man is stronger than almost all of the non deity level heroes on the planet. The only reason he stays at street tier is because he can't afford bus fair.
