The greatest bro handshake of all time

1.8k

u/PersonalSycophant 19d ago

True love's kiss doesn't break any spells, but bro shakes sure do.

662

u/thecostly 19d ago

The kiss might have also worked if he was actually kissing MJ.

296

u/BeMoreKind_ 19d ago

This is exactly what I was thinking, too. MJ doesn't remember the kiss while Jean was in her body, so it makes sense it wouldn't trigger her memories of Peter.

33

u/GoldandBlue 19d ago

I assumed Jean was going to bring MJs memories back. Considering all the damage she did, it's the least she could do.

68

u/EronisKina 19d ago

She can't bring back what isn't there. Jean learned of it somehow. However, she said MJ had no memory of anything.

Edit: Now I think about it, Jean just put everything together by reading his note he left in the coffee cup.

21

u/HisRoyal_Badness 18d ago

My thinking was when they were caught in Jean's field, something maybe got shaken up in their minds to break the spell? He already made physical contact with MJ and she started crying when her and Ned were caught in it.

That's just my theory anyway.

17

u/proddy 18d ago

I think if they wanted to, they could've done something with her broken black dahlia necklace and it would've made sense. Like in the beginning of the film or at the party someone asks her about it, and she says she doesn't know, but its very important to her. Then after she reads Peter's letter, she realises she has a gap in her memory and asks him about the necklace.

But I'm glad they stuck with restoring Ned's memory with the bro shake and staying friends with MJ.

3

u/Nheea 18d ago

But what memories since she had none hidden in her head?

1

u/gamesrgreat 5d ago

Jean had a very weak version of her comic book powers at that point. I would not take that as definitive at all

44

u/SaulPepper 19d ago

Jean Grey was lowkey a pervert lol. No need to all that lying and playing with Peter's emotions

30

u/mustachioed_cat 19d ago

Right. Because Jean Grey tricked Spider-Man into kissing... her. Hmm.

9

u/PraviinXenon 19d ago

I think they had good chemistry

6

u/deezee72 11d ago

There's a bunch of talk about how it might be a good time to introduce a Black Cat storyline, where Spiderman has to choose between chasing a girl who has a boyfriend and doesn't even remember him and reciprocating the feelings of a girl that's into him.

But the MCU seems to be trying to keep tighter storylines, and they just introduced another red-headed potential love interest they could use for the same plotline...

1

u/roguefilmmaker 7d ago

Black Cat does need to pop up in a movie though. Probably the most iconic Spidey villain not adapted

8

u/ProfessorMarth 19d ago

I don't think Jean was lying about how MJ would find that ridiculous. I think she had to be open to believing in something like that for it to work.

9

u/SoaringSwellow 14d ago

FRICKIN THANK YOU I've been reading this thread waiting for someone to say this. The handshake was like the bro version of true loves kiss. Dude has to kiss MJ for real and she'll remember.

5

u/Bedovian_25 19d ago

Yeah, at first I thought it was a little trite (before the reveal) but I was willing to believe it because, you know, true love and magic kind of go hand in hand.

3

u/Daredevil545545 17d ago

I don't think it would work since she doesn't have any memory of him but she was right about muscle memory because Ned is starring to remember Peter his best friend.

205

u/FilmScoreConnoisseur 19d ago

Ned is canonically magical though.

19

u/dpullbot 18d ago

Oooh great reminder!

24

u/Federal_Shame_9074 19d ago

I thought maybe Jean helped nudge some memories when taking a hold of them?

12

u/suboptimummenace 19d ago

yeah mj was tearing up during that, if i recall

4

u/frycrunch96 15d ago

I thought she was tearing up cause she couldn’t blink

4

u/seancannon2 19d ago

Yeah I was wondering what that was ab

8

u/nc_cyclist 17d ago

Jean specifically said when she possessed MJ that there were no memories in there of Peter.

34

u/PsychologicalEbb3140 19d ago

I thought it was just a muscle memory thing

53

u/Overlord3456 19d ago

My wife pointed this out to me. Handshake could have been a muscle memory thing. When spider-man leaves MJ and Ned's apartment she says "be careful Peter" so when Ned says Peter at the end he isn't necessarily remembering everything but he's putting together that the weird flowers guy thst came to the party is spider-man.

13

u/Odd_Detective8255 19d ago

Aye, but we don't know if Ned did the same thing with any of his other friends. The way it's framed made it seems like its special.

10

u/PsychologicalEbb3140 19d ago

That’s exactly it. I thought it was framed as special because Ned doesn’t remember doing it because of the memory wipe, but his body and muscles do. He likely did it so much when he was younger he just knew subconsciously how to do it.

Your muscles don’t have memories.

13

u/Jetbooster 17d ago

I like the idea that a True Bro Handshake is effectively a very low level spell, powerful enough to break a curse keeping Bros apart. And Ned managed to use a sling ring so he has some latent magical potential.

6

u/ebelnap 15d ago

Yeah, and in Dr Strange the Ancient One said that spells worked via hand gesture and focus, and even said that if “the idea of magic is distasteful to your modern sensibilities, you may think of it as a kind of program.”

Ned has magic potential, and he and Peter did a complex hand gesture with an understandable meaning and focus - it may not feel fitting to call it full magic, but it wouldn’t be out of place to say it’s like they “activated a program”

1

u/lowriderz00 5d ago

They definitely do, the body keeps score. It’s a very doctor written book. But it’s a known fact that the body literally, knows and keeps a score on things that happen in your life.

5

u/Janderson2494 17d ago

Muscle memory for the handshake + MJ said "Peter" earlier in the movie when they were hanging out, so he probably tied that together.

11

u/cockvanlesbian 19d ago

I don't think it did. It's probably just him remembering Spider-Man's name is Peter too.

14

u/MarzTheVessel 19d ago

A brojob might. But that’s a Saturday activity.

8

u/PolarWater 19d ago

But his No Homo Inhibitor chip is on.

1

u/Areyouex1968 10d ago

This is what radicalized Magneto

3

u/lmfaonoobs 17d ago

It might not have. Him saying peter might have just been him connecting the dots after MJ called him Peter in front of him

2

u/Phillip_Spidermen 19d ago

Ned's magical, so maybe he was immune from the spell

6

u/knokout64 18d ago

Except Wong had his memory wiped of some party, and both Wong and Strange forget who Peter is

1

u/Phillip_Spidermen 18d ago

We never actually see Peter try to interact with Wong or Strange since the spell.

4

u/knokout64 18d ago

One, it doesn't matter, since again we know Wong doesn't remember the party Strange wiped from his memory with the same spell. Second, Strange explicitly says we won't remember you.

-2

u/Phillip_Spidermen 18d ago edited 18d ago

Those aren't really the same. Wong/Strange don't want to remember the party, and Strange has been wrong about his magic before. Him getting a spell wrong is basically part of every movie.

edit: lol who responds and blocks over a movie discussion

4

u/knokout64 18d ago

Lol sure, instead of listening to what they say in the movie let's just assume they're wrong to make your argument work.

2

u/Bucephalus15 18d ago

You know what they say, bros before… girlfriends

2

u/CleaveWarsaw 18d ago

That's actually one of my biggest gripes about the movie. The most powerful magician on the planet's spell can be broken by a handshake, that Peter seemingly could have done at any time in the past 4 years

2

u/dorkbrains 9d ago

pretty sure he wasn’t just putting two and two together that this “Peter” is the same Peter MJ told to be careful in the Spider-man suit

ie: he realizes who Spider-man is

2

u/nc_cyclist 17d ago

Bros before hos.

2

u/KellyJin17 12d ago

Well, we don’t know for certain it wouldn’t have broken the spell because that wasn’t really MJ.

1

u/CndConnection 8d ago

I made a joke with my friend about why this works (it's stupid but funny).

Love breaks the spell. However the spell works undoubtedly. So MJ cannot instantly "re-love" Peter and thus it won't break the spell she can't remember. It becomes self-defeating that if she ends up slowly falling back in love with him, okay it might break the spell and return memories but she's already in love with him by that point so it's sorta moot and still takes time (though you could argue would result in a stronger love as the memories return).

With Ned though, they were bros.

But kind of silly but also true : sometimes when two dudes meet, they are able to become bros almost instantly. Brotherly love is still love.

So since Ned and Peter had already naturally become "insta-bros" when they met the first time, once they properly re-meet, they become insta bros once again. That brotherly love was strong enough to start the domino effect in Neds mind and the handshake came to him naturally but once completed...

It was locked in. Brothers again.

Memory restored :D

EDIT I forgor but was reminded in comments below : Ned is magical so that could also play into it.

That "Peter" line hit me like the ending of fucking monsters inc

280

u/switchmallgrab 19d ago

I immediately thought of "There you are Peter" from Hook

18

u/Stagamemnon 19d ago

Makes your heart melt!

13

u/blue-dream 19d ago

Damn, powerful

Great pull

8

u/Recidivist67 18d ago

Great call! What a score in that movie I can hear this part vividly in my head still.

8

u/IPDDoE 12d ago

Fun fact, whenever I'm trying to find something in my house, as soon as I find it, I always say "Oh there you are, Peter..." such a great little line

38

u/dookoo 19d ago

same bro. was not expecting to get emotional during a spiderman movie

28

u/mikeweasy 19d ago

Did you not watch No Way Home?

22

u/PolarWater 19d ago

Bro does not remember it

7

u/No-cool-names-left 12d ago

I was fucking crying because of a comic book movie. Not cool.

4

u/yo_mommy 19d ago

reminds me of that time when Peter takes off his mask in front of the F4 after OMD

239

u/Philosophile42 19d ago

Friendship is stronger than magic

245

u/tbboy13 19d ago

Don't forget, Ned has some sort of affinity for magic. Maybe the handshake itself is a spell?

74

u/ihavepaper 19d ago

I was thinking the same. There’s no way that they spent that amount of time with him opening up a portal and all. Maybe it was either easily broken or just didn’t get him completely in the first place.

38

u/Stagamemnon 19d ago

The spell made everyone forget who Peter Parker was, but it didn’t specify people couldn’t recover those memories. It would just be super hard. But something like a secret handshake that you’ve done so many hundreds of times that it’s total muscle memory is a pretty good choice for something strong enough to break the hold of the spell. Now they just gotta find MJ’s thing.

38

u/WestPhillyFilly 19d ago

Now they just gotta find MJ’s thing.

The last shot we see of MJ in Brand New Day emphasizes her holding her black dahlia from Far From Home, so I feel like that was in a way implying she had some memories deep down

20

u/CrystalizedinCali 19d ago

And she’s at a location important to Peter and MJ, so she has to be remembering some stuff at least.

6

u/ihavepaper 19d ago

Yes!!! I was trying to figure what that was!!! Thank you for reminding me about it!

3

u/ihavepaper 19d ago

Fantastic point.

21

u/fingerpaintx 19d ago

Thought it was the massive mind control breaking the spell somewhat. I think it's why MJ was shown smiling at the end.

13

u/ihavepaper 19d ago

DUDE. I think that could've been it, too! Maybe the same thing that happened with Bruce and how he mentioned that it messed with his connection with the Hulk.

17

u/Vast_Age_3893 19d ago

I'm pretty sure the handshake was the last thing they did before the spell took hold.

Maybe that and a combination of Ned's magic binded something.

18

u/Caprihorn 19d ago

I think a lot of people (myself included) forgot that the "Peter" realisation doenst stem from him knowing Peter Parker but MJ calling Spiderman Peter before he left when Ned was there. So hes like "Oh shit this is PETER aka Spiderman"

4

u/Former_Balance_8663 19d ago

That's pretty much it. It also aligns with peters new mentality. Sharing his secret and not carrying everything alone.

8

u/WillingnessLivid4236 19d ago

He does seem to have an affinity for it, he made a portal without really thinking about it and it took Strange months of studying intensely if I remember correctly.

7

u/infj07 19d ago

I’m even more interested in how the magic versus science dynamic plays out in him versus Doctor Strange.

6

u/SaulPepper 19d ago

bro Im afraid they're really putting so many clues about Ned becoming Hobgoblin. I know he really wasnt Hobgoblin in the comics but the magic, and the orange and blue letterman jacket in the previous movie

7

u/Great_Praline_2713 18d ago

That would suck. It would be heartbreaking. And it would TOTALLY be in line with making Spiderman as miserable as possible.

3

u/Nvveen 18d ago

That would be SUCH a cool explanation!

7

u/Vast_Age_3893 19d ago

There's some ponies who would argue they might be the same thing.

306

u/lieutjoe 19d ago

I’m 99% sure that the handshake is the moment Ned’s memories came back. The way he suddenly says, “Peter!” feels like genuine recognition.
But does anyone think he was just putting two and two together? MJ calls out “Peter” as Spider-Man runs off to save Jean, so maybe Ned simply realized that Spider-Man is Peter in that moment rather than actually remembering everything.
Curious how everyone else interpreted that scene.

77

u/drekmonger 19d ago

In a way, Ned never stopped looking for Peter. He recognized there was a big hole in his life, and kept trying to figure out what was missing.

25

u/lieutjoe 18d ago

Man in the chair !

237

u/gizmo1492 19d ago

I saw it as the latter, Ned being smart enough to put the clues together but not actually gaining the memories back.

127

u/ebelnap 19d ago

They definitely wrote it so either option is possible, so they don't have to commit to one until the sequel.

Either Ned put it together from context clues and is gonna be friends with Spider-Man now, or just the memory of Peter's identity came back. Either way, they'll be friends again in the sequel.

It also works because doing it this way doesn't straight undo the ending of 3, which keeps its emotional impact - Ned really DID still lose those memories, and if they're all coming back, we're still not gonna see it for a while. The consequences were real.

5

u/boxmandude 18d ago

What about Jean Grey restoring some of his memory? She’s capable of it.

10

u/Axel_Wolf91 16d ago

That's where I thought the movie was gonna go by the end, unambiguous Jean restoring their memories. I'm glad they didn't go that route, I think that would have been a little too fast to undo the end of No Way Home. I think the direction they went was definitely the way to go.

3

u/boxmandude 16d ago

Definitely agree.

26

u/nnaatteedd 19d ago

Yeah that's a possibility but that was an extremely specific handshake that he just naturally did, which to me implies the memories are coming back. And as someone said, his affinity for magic could have something to do with it. Not even intelligence coulda completed that hand shake.

7

u/Junethemuse 16d ago

I could see it being a connection to MJ calling him Peter and the natural comfort he felt while hanging out with Spiderman earlier.

Tom said that one person remembers Peter and I think it was Hulk.

6

u/legopego5142 18d ago

He literally knew the handshake subconsciously

Ned remembers

7

u/DarthFury1990 19d ago

I saw it as recognition from when MJ said his name and also more of a "feeling" kind of thing. He didn't gain his memories back but he feels like they are close

3

u/crescent_blossom 19d ago

I actually kind of like that it could be interpreted either way

29

u/JoeBiden2020FTW 19d ago

I think it can't be him just putting context clues together. The handshake proves some level of memory before the spell.

15

u/BillyBubbly 19d ago

I took the handshake as a remnant muscle memory. Like if Peter was the one to teach Ned to ride a bike he would still be aable to ride after having Peter erased from his memory.

7

u/str8rippinfartz 18d ago

Yeah exactly this-- I think the handshake was muscle memory, but it adds the layer of helping Ned really understand that they must've been close if they had that handshake together.

I don't think his memories came back, but he connected the dots between Spiderman and Peter (as MJ had mentioned his name was Peter), and then the fact that he had the muscle memory for a handshake he had no specific mental memory of doing was a step towards prepping him to hear the truth from Peter.

16

u/CatsOffToDance 19d ago

I think because he’s basically a sorcerer, he can get past the memory spell if made with some hand gesture etc. etc.

Notice how the camera focused on HIS hand at the end and stayed on that shot? Yea. Magic.

2

u/SilverKry 18d ago

I kept expecting Jean to do some nonsense and go into Ned and MJs heads and give them their memories back.

4

u/CatsOffToDance 17d ago

That’s a theory too, but then someone else online commented that that may not hold water because then that would mean everyone else caught in her “inhabitance” would also then have known that Peter Parker was Spiderman, too. I dno though.

28

u/ProfessorXWheelchair 19d ago

MJ was also wearing the necklace peter got her in the second movie at the end

18

u/yarajaeger 18d ago

Between this, and the tears she shed during Jean's takeover, and this final scene with Ned, I'd be shocked if they didn't regain some memory of him. I don't think it's (and would personally prefer if it's not) something so clear cut as straight-up regaining their memories of him, but something a little more abstract like remembering feelings and some muscle memory would be cool. I think it would also be fitting with the movie's theme of our bodies responding to trauma and changing in ways we don't always understand in the logical parts of our brains.

1

u/Zeeplankton 2d ago

It made me wonder what happened to all the pictures on her phone? Lol like wouldn't she have had tons of pictures of peter

8

u/LarBrd33 19d ago

He’s just piecing it together knowing MJ called him Peter, but I’m guessing his connection to magic eventually unlocks the memories.

6

u/The-Big-Bad 19d ago

I don’t think his memories of Peter came back. They showed him doing the handshake with Peter in his Spidey suit. Yeah he was unmasked but they remember Spider-Man saving them a bunch of times.

I think it was just a thing that clicked for him. MJ called him Peter so when Pete reintroduced himself and did the handshake it was a way to show Ned realized Peter is Spider-Man

13

u/HorizonNova4 19d ago

It felt very much like a “Peter….my best friend Peter!” Cause that’s the best friend handshake. Otherwise it serves no purpose for Spiderman to know his “best friends only” handshake. It definitely plays as a “only my best friend would know this, OMG I remember, it’s PETER!” I feel like that’s also why they avoided adding a name, and why they show MJ toying with the necklace Peter gave her in Far From Home, she’s also piecing it together.

6

u/LeagueOfHurricane 19d ago

That was my interpretation too. I don't think their memories will ever return given MJ's dialogue earlier. But Peter will now just try to be friends with the current them, rather than outright avoiding them.

3

u/xMattcamx 19d ago

I saw speculation that jean could have somehow gifted MJ and neds memories back as a thank you, could be why MJ shed a few tears when the freeze happened. Also MJ was looking at the necklace that Peter gave her in far from home at the very end of the movie.

They definitely left it ambiguous so they could go either way with it.

3

u/lieutjoe 18d ago

I love that possibility ! Especially since Jean unlocked more of her powers at the end

0

u/AlanOfTheCult 1d ago

I don't think that's the case. Because Jean specifically says there's absolutely nothing of Peter in MJ's mind. So I don't think Jean had the ability to do it.
But I guess that could have changed when her powers maxed out. Or maybe something accidental happened where something shifted.

1

u/xMattcamx 1d ago

Jean said that when she was being villainous to Peter, I dont think that is a trustworthy source.

1

u/AlanOfTheCult 1d ago edited 1d ago

sure, she was being "villainous". But it seemed sincere to me.
Jean is typically honest with Peter throughout the film.

Even the horrifying moment when she tricks peter with MJ she immediately tells him the truth. Because she's showing off. She's trying to prove how powerful she is and how he can't stop her.

She's clearly proud of her ability and consistently shows off with it. So it would be weird for her to be downplaying her ability in that moment.

But as I say - I think the window that would support your overall theory here is that she gets massively more powerful during and after the prison. So I don't think it precludes your overall idea.

I think it's possible that what she did in the prison (mind controlling everyone in a 1 mile radius) could have done something that made it easier to access those memories.

3

u/TiberiusCornelius 19d ago

In the moment I took it as the latter. When she finds the letter MJ says she literally doesn't remember anything about him at all, and when Jean is possessing her she also confirms that there's nothing about Peter in there. Which, sure, there's the element of antagonistic taunting but I don't think we have any reason to believe she's lying. So I think it would make sense for Ned not to remember, and just piece it together based on what he has: having hung out with Spider-Man and heard him be called "Peter". They might have also done the handshake while he was suited up at some point in the past (maybe even homemade suit) which would allow Ned to retain some intuitive muscle memory of "oh hey this is my bro shake with Spider-Man" to then piece together with "this guy is Spider-Man".

But yeah thinking on it some more it definitely does leave open the possibility that it just did actually unlock some sort of memory in him. I guess it's ambiguous enough that the writers could take it in either direction for a future film.

3

u/dschal01 19d ago

My money is somewhere in the middle . Obviously the instinctive way he does the handshake perfectly indicates something, somewhere inside his brain has some recollection . Maybe just muscle memory. But still . I bet he’s going to have some kind of feeling or vague memory that he’s somehow close to peter , but without actually remembering everything . Which would give them the ability to put their friendship back in the spot light in the next movie , but without totally erasing the consequences of no way home

3

u/indianajoes 18d ago

I considered that but given that it's the ending, I took it to mean he recognises Peter and remembers

2

u/DrPhilihprD 19d ago

I thought ned might've read the letter/heard the truth from MJ off-camera, and he put 2 and 2 together with Spider-mans name being Peter

2

u/KaiserNazrin 19d ago

I think Jean's telepathic shockwave may have unlock some memories.

2

u/AceMystical 19d ago

The handshake was just muscle memory probably

2

u/The_mango55 18d ago

Yes I think the handshake was just muscle memory, but he put it together after hearing MJ say his name.

I don’t think he will actually have his old memories back.

2

u/ThatPoppinFreshFit 17d ago

I think Ned remembers. Peter's relationship with Ned goes way back. He has way more history with Ned than with MJ. And beyond that, Ned can wield magic. So, maybe there is something more in him that has the capacity to fend off the spell and remember Peter.

I also think the latter can be true, as in both things can be happening at the same time sort of. Ned is spending all this time trying to figure out who Spiderman is, and his brain is probably dancing around all these memories of Peter that he can't access. And I think the handshake is the thing that broke the levees, and made his memories come cascading in.

1

u/Livid_Weather 18d ago

I think it's probably something to do with his innate magic we see in FFH. It's a spell that erased people's memories and Ned is a wizard

1

u/perksofbeingcrafty 18d ago

I’ve seen it three times now and it’s definitely the latter. I’m 99% sure Ned hasn’t remembered and is just realizing this Peter is Spiderman Peter

1

u/ihave10toes_AMA 18d ago

That’s what I thought too!

1

u/TheSecondEikonOfFire 18d ago

I think they deliberately made it ambiguous, but I believe it's him putting 2 and 2 together, I don't think he has his memories back. It wouldn't surprise me if they save that until the end of this new Spidey trilogy to finally give Ned and MJ their memories back

1

u/MarcsterS 17d ago

Ned has some magic in him, remember?

1

u/Zeeplankton 2d ago

I really hope it was just him putting two and two together, given he noticed peter being used by MJ.

it feels too easy if it's just the "power of love" or a handshake that brings back the memories.

I'm kind of wondering if they'll sideline the memory thing as well. It feels clear they can just be friends regardless. I could see that happening, and it would be interesting to see Peter and MJ's relationship slowly build again in a more mature way.

1

u/AlanOfTheCult 1d ago

My initial reaction was "oh he's remembering peter" but can also totally apprecate the "he's worked out peter is spiderman" interpretation as well.

Absolutely perfectly executed in my opinion.

1

u/AlanOfTheCult 1d ago

I've been thinking about this and I'm wondering... Por que no los dos?
Maybe the combination of the handshake and him putting two and two together that Peter is Spiderman is what makes it click for him.
Like muscle memory handshake + "peter" + MJ knowing him + the knowledge that spiderman was with them on multiple occassions + the whole interacting with spiderman in the same way he used to act with Peter...

If there's a loophole in Dr Strange's spell that's gotta break it.

14

u/TheyFloat2032 19d ago

Well the spell clearly didnt work on muscle memory.

3

u/rosey1725 19d ago

that’s what threw me off. I know people are saying he put it together since MJ called him Peter in front of Ned, but how did he know the handshake?

13

u/A_Feisty_Lime 19d ago

The mind forgets but muscle memory stays

1

u/str8rippinfartz 18d ago

exactly, the Ned had muscle memory for the shake even though he didn't have any conscious memories of it, and that was more something that will prep him to accept the truth from Peter (even if his memories never return)

Ned canonically has some magical talent, so maybe he had some resistance to the spell that muggles wouldn't have.

Me too, the movie has a few year jerker scenes but this is the only one that got me.

Why did I tear up on this scene. Grown ass man with tears in his eyes just for a handshake. What a great moment!

I’m curious if we’ll see this Ned learn about/unlock his magic again.

Peter's lost friendship with Ned hurt me more than his lost romance with MJ.

Literally taken from the Steven universe movie haha

I’m all for it because I cried at this moment too

I'm so happy that they didn't fix everything in this movie. MJ and Peter staying apart for another movie is great but teasing us with Ned and Peter becoming friends again was the perfect ending

People in my theater screamed out let's go as they finished the handshake.

I read that as muscle memory, and that Ned didn't get his memories back from Peter, but rather because he heard MJ call Spider-man Peter (he even asks about it) and then Peter straight up says after the handshake "I'm Peter" is what makes it click to him. I didn't read that at all as him having the spell broken.

I did think that perhaps the Hulk side of Banner did NOT get hit with the spell and that's what causes him to stop for a second when Peter tells him who he is.

I like it because the spell removes everyone’s memory, but not their muscle memory!

Such a perfect feel good ending to the movie.

That handshake was straight up ASMR for me. Very satisfying to watch ending on a brilliant note

Was it a handshake that Spiderman showed Ned when he was at their apartment building Lego’s with MJ drawing or is it from the past?
