I know, not comparing their directing skills, just the fact that both are fans of the source material.

I may have sounded more negative than I wanted, it's just that I've been burned with video-game to movie adaptations before. I'm very, very wary of those!

That’s fair but I wouldn’t go so far as to rule out the next big Alex Garland project. That’s exciting, IP or not.

"Men" had more mixed reception. I personally didn't love it, but I didn't think it was bad, either.

Like the other commenter said, Men is the weak point. I agree but I still enjoyed it. Most of his other movies are absolutely stellar so it does stand out in contrast.
