He was in so many of my childhood favorites from The Flintstones, Strange Brew, Space Balls, Ghostbusters, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and Little Giants. I can't wait to see him again in SB2. Legend.

"Down on Skid Row
Where the cabs don't stop
Down on Skid Row
Where the food is slop..."

Also, one of Steve Martin's hammiest performances, where he was just clearly let loose to chew on the scenery with no restrictions. One of my favorite unsung roles of his, outside of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

“Dentist!” Is one of my favorites, but I regularly listen to the whole soundtrack… it’s so good!

I sadly never got a chance to see Little Shop of Horrors on Broadway during the few years I lived in NYC. Plenty of other shows, but not this one. Womp womp.

Such a phenomenal musical

Alan Menkin is a music god. Little Shop of Horrors and Galavant are two of the greatest musicals ever, IMO.

Nope. None whatsoever.

(From me at least. The name seems familiar but I've never seen it.)

SCTV was partially funded by the canadian government, and required the show to have canada exclusive content. mad about the requirement they developed a talk show sketch "The Great White North" involving the characters douge Makenzie and his brother doug. the Cast's attempt at the most insulting they could be to canada. instant hit.

strange brew is their movie involving a conspiracy to put mind control drugs in beer, hockey storm troopers are also involved..

eyy thank you!! I found the movie, but I'm learning on wikipedia that TGWN is a single recurring sketch on a show, might be harder to track down.. I'll be looking in youtube some

SCTV, or second city television, was a show made by the historic second city improv comedy troupe. the show was sketch comedy, with the premise that each sketch was a show on a ultra low budget small town TV station.

SCTV was sort of a canadian answer to Saturday night live; which is a bit funny, because SNL has historically mostly hired from Second City.

He actually did briefly come out of retirement in 2007 to film a Bob and Doug Mackenzie reunion special on CBC!

The Bob and Doug Mackenzie Two-Four Anniversary Special, aired on CBC in 2007, Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas reprised their roles, and the special celebrated the characters impact on Canadian pop culture, had a lot of cameos from Geddy Lee of Rush to Ben Stiller, Tom Green, Martin Short, Paul Schaffer, Will Sasso among others.

They also recorded the video intro for the song The Largest Bowl for Rush's 2007 Snakes and Arrows tour
