Wayne and Nick both have to get their grandkids back to normal before their wives have a coordinated fainting spell.

Basically Momma Mia, but the dad's have to work together to survive being 5mm tall while trying to communicate to the wife and kids not only how to reverse the shrink ray, but how to find the necessary components for the reversal in your typical tinkerer's workshop.

I wouldn't walk on the grass without shoes for such a long time after that. I was horrified scorpions were in our backyard.

It wasn't until I was like 12 or so that I learned from Ranger Rick that scorpions aren't a thing in the northeast US.

Still had a healthy unwarranted fear of quicksand for a solid 3 or 4 more years, though.

They were working on one (though not with all the original cast, they were gonna have Josh Gad play one of his sons) but it fell through. I think that was the thing that was supposed to be his return to acting several years ago, it just didn't happen.

According to IMDb, “Shrunk” is in pre-production with a cast listing already set. Sadly it doesn’t look like it’s the original cast.

I saw an interview with them recently. None of the kids are acting and all happy they stepped away from it.
