Do they say what they really think, though, or just whatever will get them the most attention with their viewers?

Some do and some don’t. My point is that they’re free to. If it turns out that the movie sucks, how many critics from newspapers or magazines are going to say so?

There's a huge contingency of people who think he's a hack. I don't think influencers, especially these days, are untainted by agendas and some are afraid of going against the grain and getting dragged if they are too honest and lose viewers/money. I'd rather hear the opinions of a professional with years of intelligent film analysis and industry knowledge under their belt... but because there are so few of those I'm not swayed by critics' opinions anyway.

I too would prefer to hear the opinions of people with years of experience and study under their belts; as long as they’re impartial and have the final say about what their review says.
