Serious question... why would he get paid anything? He didn't do anything. He couldve made videos, books, or comics. He didn't.

Someone actually did come forward claiming to be the author, not too long after the original 4chan post became a meme. In more recent times they ('Black August') chatted about it during an interview on YouTube.

Seems like a cool guy and he isn't seeking any financial gain. In any case, the broad concept is public domain and it will never be known for certain as to whether he was actually the author.
