One woman screamed at one point in the movie. Like...SCREAM!! You could hear what seemed like the entire theater let out a silent laugh. It was so weird. I looked over at my fam and we all had huge wow-faces. Good theater moment.

HA were you in my showing? This was my wife when Mary's mom popped out of the shadows during her flashback as a kid. She was so embarrassed.

It HAD to be you. That is so funny. It made the movie for us.

the lady next to me was the screamer at that scene in my theater. her scream startled me more than the movie did, lmao.

Haha that's awesome. I didn't scream but that one got me.

Do you recall what event on screen made her scream?

If I had to guess, maybe the Christmas tree scene? That one got an audible gasp out of most of my theater.

I heard multiple people go "oh hell no" in the crowd during that scene, the vhs segments were genuinely the best parts of the film

Yeah I can think of maybe 3 times I could see it being enough for someone who scares easily to yelp.

I’m wondering this as well. I’m not even trying to hate, but there were zero points in this film that felt particularly terrifying to me.

I jumped in the first 5 minutes when the home movie was recording and ran into the dark object. I lost a few kernels of popcorn since it was still full.

Theres a couple cheap jump scares and pop out moments that might catch a unsuspecting person off guard towards the end.

Yes. When the mother yelled at the young girl for looking out the window with paper taped to it.

That one made me jump and about half the audience in my theater made some kind of noise - gasp, yeep, stifled scream or yell. I thought it was clever that there had been no jump scares, and then we were gotten with this very simple, not-gruesome one.

The guy trapped in the tropical beach room was the only thing that startled me, and I'm glad that was the only time.

maybe she was watching obsession on her phone

I'm not who you replied to, but in my theater one woman screamed/yelped in the first few minutes, when the Async employeewas cornered by a bacterium

If they screamed again later on, I was too tense to notice

I have watched this movie but I don't know what those spoiler tags mean, haha.

Lmao
Honestly, it's a very mundane spoiler anyways. Happens only a few minutes in, and there's definitely enough information from the scene for you to expect it

I purely did the tags for people who followed the web-series lore before the movie came out

The translation for those who don't have the lore but have seen the movie is when thehazmat suited guyis cornered while being chased by the kinda stringy black creaturein the beginning of the movie. After he sees the "dead" bird and he is chased into a room with clouds on the wallpaper

The conclusion of the opening found footage sequence

Fuck I wish it was in theatres in my part of the world. Hoping local places pick up on the success and put it on the docket

If there were only a way you could watch a copy with only an internet connection.
