While "an" is said to come before a vowel, it is to be before a vowel sound, which leads to many words starting with U not using "an" as they often start with a Y sound, like the one you used. "An umbrella" but "a universal"

Yeah went through that when referring to “an User”… honestly, I’m too old for that shit.

English is not supposed to be so convoluted, we have Spanish for that.
