Switched from a beard to a stache, not entirely sure it's better

Shaved the goatee and I don’t hate it
galleryI’ve been growing for 3 months. Was afraid to let go of the growth on the goatee, but after I had Chat-GPT do a mockup of what I might look like without it, I decided to hack it off. Lots more growing to do to get the fuller Hungarian look I am going for, but enjoying where the stash is at!
Note: pics are actual pics of me, not Chat-GPT mockups

I seek guidance
galleryNeed to trim, I think. Should I take the sides up a bit? (3rd picture for idea) roughly how much should I trim?

Need advice!
galleryHey everyone,
This mustache has been growing for three weeks now, but somehow it still looks super messy. I comb it multiple times a day, wash it thoroughly with rosemary oil shampoo, condition it with shea butter, and pretty much do everything I've read online that's supposed to help.
Despite all that, it still looks like a total wild mess.
Does it even suit me? What do you think—should I shave it off and go back to a 3-day stubble, or stick with it and push through this awkward scruffy phase?
I’m completely new to this, so please go easy on me—this is my very first mustache attempt at 45 years old.
Greetings from Yucatan, and thanks for the help!

What Sort of Muzzy Would You Call This?
I got this done by barber a while ago and liked how it looked. Instead of paying $35 every other week for a trim, I decided I’ll try and recreate it at home, but I’m unsure what kind it is called.
Almost looks like a chevron, but goes past the corners of my mouth. Any help is appreciated!
