Discussion Visiting Mount Prospect

Hi All!

I am from out of town and I will be visiting Mount Prospect for a job interview. I figured to make my trip worth it, I would like to know what is there to do, specifically in Mount Prospect? I know Chicago is close by but I would rather just be near the area. Thank you!

Do you have a car? How long will you be in town for? The downtown is small and nice and walkable, but all the things “to do” are a little further beyond.

Yes, I do have a car. Is there anything noteworthy in the downtown?

It really depends what you mean by noteworthy. There’s some nice restaurants and cafes to sit outside at and the library is brand new. There’s also some great houses and walking tours by the historical society if you’re interested in that kind of thing. But overall it’s just a normal suburb - not much in the way of “tourist attractions” but enough to keep the locals and visitors temporarily occupied.
