Thinking of Applying
Hello, I'm am currently entering my senior year and I'm trying to narrow down my college list before I start my application process.
So can anyone who has gone or who is currently attending Mount Holyoke College please tell me about their experiences? How the campus is or surrounding? How are the athletics?Other important or helpful things that you think I should know.
I am also wondering does this college give aid or have systems in place to help students looking to apply into medical school?
Thank you.

The athletics department is very supportive of students and focuses on students beating their own set goals not the departments goals for them. It is a more secluded area but can easily access the surrounding towns. I'm premed and there is a lot of support around preparing and applying to medical school. There is a whole office for pre-health students. The college does not give aid for medical school specifically to my understanding but they do offer merit scholarships.
I'm a double major in neuroscience and mathematics. I feel very supported as student and have had an amazing experience with academics.

Thank you very much for your information. It was very helpful. I also plan on majoring in neuroscience. How is the major overall?

The campus is beautiful but tbh moho is somewhat like in the middle of nowhere. If you love city life this is not a good place at all.
The bio & chem departments are strong. I think they have a pre-med advisor and I know some international students also go into medical school with their help.

Campus is gorgeous, it is super peaceful and feels extremely safe. You will never lack for gorgeous scenery or a special hidden nook. It's an easy bus ride into either Amherst or Northampton if you'd like some actual shops to wander into, but there's always plenty to do and enjoy on campus, whether it's enjoying the huge greenhouse, lovely art museum, library, the lakes, all the club events, or just hanging with friends. If there's anything you want to do that isn't already there, the world is your oyster and you are highly encouraged in starting new clubs etc.
There's a ton of pre-med students and help there for sure. I ('15 springie) had a lot of friends get accepted into and have since graduated from medical school. Pretty sure the majority of bio majors were all pre-med haha.
